I have listened to all of John Corey novels. I am not a big fan of Scott Brick but he can do John Corey. I have sometimes avoided other books because Scott Brick is the narrator. If you enjoyed the other John Corey novels I would recommend this one. If you have not listened to a John Corey novel then I would suggest any of the other John Corey novels. Also, I am fan of Nelson Demille and 'The Gold Coast' is so good that I have listened to it three times in the last fifteen years.

The movie script was excellent. As with all movie scripts much has to be eliminated. What was eliminated was trash. The narration was ok but when he did certain voices like Mickey Cohen it was really annoying. When I get to a half way point in a book I always finish the book. The last five hours where torture. The plot really did sicken.

I especially thought the Walt Disney type character in the book was a really bad choice. I think pure fiction would be better than using these historical characters.

I really think Archer should stick to his side of the pond. I don't think he is able to capture American characters. I think his best book is 'Prisoner of Birth'. It is right on the edge of not believable but doesn't cross the line. This book crosses the line.

I did enjoy this book but the author refers several times to transistor radios starting around 1944 when Young Suk bought one for a gift. First commercial transistor radio was in 1954. I don't know why but this inaccuracy bothers me because I keep asking myself what else did the author get wrong.

Would you try another book from Francis Ford Coppola and/or Francis Ford Coppola and Joe Mantegna ?

Certainly Joe Mantegna. Coppola needs to stick to making wine and movies.

Would you be willing to try another book from Francis Ford Coppola? Why or why not?

Yes. He is one of the greats and The Godfather alone makes him a great director.

What about Francis Ford Coppola and Joe Mantegna ’s performance did you like?

Coppola OK. Mantegna has a great voice and is a professional unlike Coppola.

Did The Godfather Notebook inspire you to do anything?

It inspired me to buy the whole book.

Any additional comments?

Saying unabridged is deceptive.

Would you consider the audio edition of Mightier than the Sword to be better than the print version?

Have only listened to the audio edition.

If you’ve listened to books by Jeffrey Archer before, how does this one compare?

'Prisoner of Birth' is one of my favorite audio books. I have listened to every Archer book at Audible and this one is probably in the middle.

Which character – as performed by Alex Jennings – was your favorite?

Harry Clifton is my favorite with Emma as a close second.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Good versus evil.

Any additional comments?

This book is like potato chips. I can't leave them alone.
