Historia
Whalen Vankin is the world's greatest wizard, and he has only ever personally trained two other wizards. One is Alexander Taylor, a young man who has earned a reputation as a brave adventurer, a warrior, and man of honor. The other is Jabez, Vankin's nephew and a man whose choices have led him down a different, darker path. Dark magic has covered Westland, and evil is stirring.

A rushed ending to a great series
Revisado: 11-07-21
There were some weird decisions made in this story. Bad choices to balance out the overpowered scaling of the main character, followed by a strangely rushed ending to wrap up the series in only a few chapters. Was meant to be more books. Very unfortunate the series couldn't be finished properly.

Major Dip in Quality
Revisado: 09-09-21
J. Scott Savage took a 5 year break in between writing the first two books and this one. In that time, it feels like he lost track of where he was going and what made this series so special. It feels like a totally different person wrote it, and it is far from the quality of the originals. If you are reading thru all 4 books in succession, you will definitely feel it.
R. C. Bray, while a good narrator, has far too gruff of a voice to be narrating children. I will say that his take on Kyja (while often hard to tell it is her speaking) is an improvement from the previous narrator.
Overall, it's still Farworld, and it's worth the read. Just a lower caliber than the first two books.

Historia
With no word from Kyja, the people of Farworld are beginning to face the possibility that she is truly dead, and the quest to save Farworld and Earth has failed. In an effort to find a way to bring Kyja back, Marcus must enter the most dangerous place possible, the Realm of Shadows. Meanwhile, Kyja wakes up in a world of lost souls and memories. With no idea who she is, she wanders Fire Keep, home to the most quick-tempered of the elementals. The other spirits around her have given up hope.

13 Years
Revisado: 09-09-21
13 years this series has been with me. I'm not sure how to feel now that it's over. This final book did feel rushed though, I must say.
This is a very special series.

Historia
In business, the right behaviors matter. But getting it right is tricky. Even when we acknowledge the need to change what we do and how we do it, life has a habit of getting in the way, upsetting even the best-laid plans. And just how do we manage those situations that can provoke even the most rational among us into behaving in ways we would rather forget?

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 06-30-20
I'm a little over an hour in, and every step of the way has been very hard to listen to. The author thought it would be a good idea to narrate his own book, but he is an awful narrator.
He also focuses *a lot* on business. He relates personal growth to treating yourself like a business that needs to be managed. If you're into that, great. This'll be good. If you aren't into it, maybe stay away. I don't know if this will be worth my time to finish or not. Despite being very short, this book is dragging on and on like a bad kindergarten play for your neighbor's kid.
