This book is so funny! We purchased a copy for another couple we are friends with too because they are in thick of life raising 4 small kids and we wanted to give them a chance to laugh!
The angry bird chapter was great! My husband and I only fought while playing Dr. Mario for many years and now I’m even considering getting us separate blankets.

These voluntary leaders were given job descriptions, business cards, problems to solve, and people to lead. They were given responsibility that matched their capacity, and Grace Church created a culture where volunteer leaders had the potential to rise to every level of leadership within the organization.

Empowering for laypeople too!

This was a powerful listen! I’m “only” a church member. I’m not a pastor, elder, or leader—-but after listening to Pastor Derek’s book I know I am a vital part of change. I love that he challenges hard drawn lines in the sand. Uncomfortable? Yes. Necessary. Absolutely.

Already I am known at my school for doing things differently and well. That is because I implement so many strategies outline here.
