Historia
Through storytelling and brutally honest disclosures, Dustin brings his highly relatable brand of humor to the challenges couples may face, including eating healthy (versus being happy), parenting (building crucial survival skills), finances (bill collectors, anyone?), and church attendance (Melissa's purse holds enough mints and fidget toys to entertain the kids and Dustin).

We feel seen
Revisado: 01-12-23
This book is so funny! We purchased a copy for another couple we are friends with too because they are in thick of life raising 4 small kids and we wanted to give them a chance to laugh!
The angry bird chapter was great! My husband and I only fought while playing Dr. Mario for many years and now I’m even considering getting us separate blankets.

Historia
In 2011, the pastoral staff at Grace Church in Erie, Pennsylvania began inviting additional leaders from within the congregation to become staff members without pay. These voluntary leaders were given job descriptions, business cards, problems to solve, and people to lead. They were given responsibility that matched their capacity, and Grace Church created a culture where volunteer leaders had the potential to rise to every level of leadership within the organization.

Empowering for laypeople too!
Revisado: 09-13-21
This was a powerful listen! I’m “only” a church member. I’m not a pastor, elder, or leader—-but after listening to Pastor Derek’s book I know I am a vital part of change. I love that he challenges hard drawn lines in the sand. Uncomfortable? Yes. Necessary. Absolutely.

Historia
Rhythms of Renewal is your guide to daily rescue and a way forward into the peace your soul longs for. As a society, we are in the throes of a collective panic attack. Anxiety and loneliness are on the rise, with 77% of our population experiencing physical symptoms of stress on a regular basis. We feel pressure chasing careers, security, and keeping up. We worry about health, politics, and many other complexities we can't control. Eventually, we find our minds spinning, trying to cope or manage a low hum of anxiety, unlike ever before.

Historia
Like most teachers, you want to use your life to make an impact - not only in the classroom, but in your family, community, and the world. And yet it feels impossible to have that focus when you’re exhausted and overwhelmed. How can you make a difference when you’re distracted by never-ending paperwork, meetings, errands, and housework? How can you give the best of yourself when you’re bogged down with mundane tasks and unfulfilling obligations? You’ll never have enough time to do everything.

Bold and Refreshing
Revisado: 09-21-19
As a new teacher, my second year is still tough. But with this book, the 40 Hour Club and the podcast by my side, I feel like Angela is a consistent mentor cheering me on.
Already I am known at my school for doing things differently and well. That is because I implement so many strategies outline here.
