Historia
Even before Myristal went out, before the battle of the Heavens and the Earth broke out, before the Black General was imprisoned on the Mountain of Skulls, a wizard had wandered the endless expanses of the Nameless World in search of his past and his future. This is the legend of Ash, the Master of a Thousand Words, the Bloody General. What's true and what is fiction is up to you to decide.

Better than the first book
Revisado: 08-10-24
I didn’t like the first book because of its reincarnation element made it too litrpg for my liking. This book is the absolute fantasy I was looking for. If you enjoy D&D style swords and sorcery with words of power and cultivation then this is probably what you are looking for. I'm not sure when in the book series you should be reading this but I'm just about to start book 4 and I'm not sure when Ash is going to appear in the main story. My only complaint about the story is the time jumping. I understand why it was done but I'm not familiar enough with it's calendar to actually understand right away when in time they are also it can be very easy to miss a time jump and not understand why a person who just died is alive again. (necromancy be like that.) probably would be better if you had a real book to read from as you listen.

Historia
Dolli was just getting to like the idea of being the overlord of Monster Haven when a roaming Warmonger set his eyes on her dungeon core. Some of her citizens have defected to the enemy horde for the promise of safety, and now Dolli has a choice to make. Does she wipe them out to save those who remain, or does she sacrifice herself to save them all? But the defectors don’t know that the Warmonger has an even more sinister plot than just consuming Dolli’s core—and when they finally see his true monstrous nature, will it be too late?

Should have saved this boss for the last story.

I'll be honest I really disliked the christmas characters in this book. Nothing against the author I personally just hate the holiday and anything to do with it. I understand why a game would have it involved but I can only come up with one explanation for why it was involved in the story. Also the main bad guy of this story seems a little to OP for them to actually defeat. Regardless of how you explain it the bad guys seemed designed as a NPC who cleans up old quest and dungeons the programmers no longer want or need. If that's true then I find the whole idea of them winning laughable. I did enjoy the dungeon transformation at the end tho.

Dolli had a very hands-off approach to ruling her once booming village. She preferred to use her alchemical skills to brew a nice cup of tea and keep whiny petitioners off her lawn with Wendigo repellant. But she pays the price for her apathy when her neglected village transforms into a Dungeon, making it fair game for any Hero with a lust for loot.

NPC town becomes a main character dungeon
Revisado: 02-09-24
Love the idea of POV from NPCs. I'm on the third story now and I'm still not totally sure why major of the town was picked to be major but honestly I like her as a character and I completely understand her point of view. My only complaint is the story isn't really long enough. I want to know more about these characters so I should know why there deaths mean anything.

In Chinese mythology, there is so much symbolism, and there are so many wise lessons to discover. It’s almost criminal that Western civilization studies Greek or Roman myths but leaves all the Chinese gods and goddesses to themselves. In this guide, we’ll delve deeper into these mystical beings and the beliefs surrounding them, whether modern or ancient.

This is a ok book if you want some information about Chinese mythology but don't have more than an hour for it. I learned about dragons aging and a little bit about the white snake everything else I already knew from what little I've already learned. If you want real information then this isn't for you.

It's nothing but a bunch of references
Revisado: 02-18-23
I really liked how this series started, however the moment Artoian became Dale's personal teacher is the moment this story took a hard left turn into a hell realm of fan service and it only has gotten deeper. The endless references to old religions and geeky stuff is just stupid. Trying to fit 30lb of shit in a 2lb bag never ends well and that's all this book does is a try to shove as much crap as it possibly into a story and hope it makes sense. I wish the writer would just end it. I've stopped reading this series since the author wants to insult my intelligence with this sorry excuse for a story.

Revisado: 01-24-22
If you follow the story "A Thousand Li" you'll recognize the main character in this story is the old gate keeper who always has a few words of wisdom for Long Wu Ying. Hearing where some people were during the great battle is what I enjoy. I wish these short stories were in bundle. I hope to see more.

Revisado: 02-25-21
I read this book because of another book called Cultivating Chaos By: William D. Arand Voiced By: Andrea Parsneau. Honestly I like this story more the other one, it was like a anime Harem series this is more like a D&D campaign using things Chi and chakras to level up characters. Honestly it was a very thrilling tale. There are 4 or 5 stories in the series. I have 3 of them and I've finished 2 so far. The Chinese names are hard for me to follow sometimes but other than that it's a great adventure in a Asian setting with unique and interesting ideas. (or maybe I'm just an uncultured white boy. Lol shrug)

Revisado: 02-13-21
I'm not sure if this story is considered a trope it's the basic story of a girl who tries really hard but just isn't quite good enough. I think the idea of music being magic as being very unique and interesting. I would be willing to listen to a sequel for the same price as I spent on this one.

Great if you like futuristic Viking Harem series
Revisado: 01-16-21
Ok so I bought this book on sale because I love sci-fi and vikings. Going into it I was expecting something like Thor Ragnar. Personally I think it's better and different. The story is really compelling but there is a large amounts of sexual content. I don't want to sound like a prude, I bought the whole series and the ones in the same universe by other authors so clearly I enjoy it. If you aren't interested in a story about some random dude who gets the powers of a God and starts a harem of monster women then this isn't for you. I personally enjoy anime and think of this as a dark knight meets is this zombie. With the main character being Odin and the location being Asgard.
