Historia
Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

Nothing Less Than Fantastic
Revisado: 11-10-05
Way to go Michael. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this novel. Of course that's just my opinion. It's nice to see that Mr. Connelly has other characters at the tip of his fingers besides Harry Bosch. "The Lincoln Lawyer" has everything that is needed to keep you listening. It also has some nice surprises that will keep the headsets on for awhile. If you have never listened to (or read) Michael Connelly then now is the time to start. Enjoy, I did.

Historia
Bill Wile is an easygoing, hardworking guy who leads a quiet, ordinary life. But that is about to change. One evening, after his usual eight-hour bartending shift, he finds a typewritten note under the windshield wiper of his car. If you don’t take this note to the police and get them involved, I will kill a lovely blond schoolteacher. If you do take this note to the police, I will instead kill an elderly woman active in charity work. You have four hours to decide. The choice is yours.

Terrible
Revisado: 06-04-05
Dean Koontz used to be a good author. I said I would never get hooked into reading (listening) to another Koontz book but this one intrigued me. Wrong... He over describes ever little situation. Something that continues to get worse with each novel. I am finally cured. See ya Dean.

Historia
Not long after Stone and his ex-partner Dino make the acquaintance of Billy Bob—a smooth-talkin’ Texan packing a wad of rare two-dollar bills—someone takes a shot at them. Against his better judgment, Stone offers Billy Bob a safe haven for the night but almost immediately regrets it. The slippery out-of-towner has gone missing and someone has been found dead—in Stone’s town house no less.

Same Old Stone Barrington
Revisado: 04-23-05
"How about dinner tonight at Elaine's" And that's how the book goes. The usual suspects gather together for yet another quick and to the point Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington book. Don't get me wrong, the book is easy listening but with no surprises. I expect that from Woods. He's a guilty pleasure with me. It's ike watching a Steven Seagal film, at least the earlier ones, where I know I shouldn't like them but I catch myself sticking with them when they show up on "action max" or some other pay channel. Tony Roberts does a nice job with the characters but what is it with Elaine's voice characterization? She sounds like an old sea captain that's smoked too many cigarettes. All in all it was worth spending my last credit.

Historia
Four years ago, LAPD detective Harry Bosch was on a movie set, asking questions about the murder of a young production assistant, when an armored car arrived with $2 million cash for use in a heist scene. In a life-imitates-art firestorm, a gang of masked men converged on the delivery and robbed the armored car with guns blazing. The crime was never resolved, and the young woman's murder was in the stack of unsolved-case files Bosch carried home the night he left the LAPD.

Lost Light by Michael Connelly
Revisado: 07-14-04
A very good book jammed with information to keep the mind going and to make you want to stay in the car once you get home. I have just recently discoverd, through audible, Michael Connelly and Harry Bosch. "Lost Light" reader Len Cariou is excellent and should read all of the Bosch books. It's a shame audible doesn't carry the entire Connelly body of books. I highly recommend "Lost Light" to listeners.

Historia
The boxes arrive mysteriously, one by one, at Channing Manheim’s fortified compound. The threat implicit in their bizarre, disturbing contents seems to escalate with each new delivery. Manheim’s security chief, ex-cop Ethan Truman, is used to looking beneath the surface of things. But until he entered the orbit of a Hollywood icon, he had no idea just how slippery reality could be. Now this good man is all that stands in the way of an insidious killer—and forces that eclipse the most fevered fantasies of a city where dreams and nightmares are the stuff of daily life.

Koontz is very much over descriptive in all of his books. I used to look forward to his books but enough is enough. His earlier books were good but his last 4 or 5 have been unbearable. Oh well.
