Perfect book for audibook format!
Revisado: 05-07-24
What a nice little book and a follow-up to first two books!
As soon as you start listening to the audio, you understand that the author was writing it to be narrated: wthout spoling much, they story is presented as audio log made on a starship in a midst of conflct and the atmosphere is just sooo good: ocassional alert going off in the background, off-handed comments by "Friend" about ongoing issues, explosion, you name it! And all that without being excessive - what a treat of an experience. The story is quite satisfying and it's a rare example of a book written from the second person perspective - all in all I love it and I hope to see more collaboration between Aaron and Jack, It goes without saying that Jack does, as usual, wonderful job bring it to life and going one step further with the post production.

A fantastic LitRPG series!
Revisado: 03-26-24
Limitless Lands was my entry ticket into the world of LitRPG and boy, it does not disappoint. The MC as well as his peers are all well rounded and well defined characters with distinct personalities, and the story pacing is great. This is one of the best way you could spend a single credit today on Audbile if you are into LitRPG and want to try the genre out.
Narration is also spot on, especially since the re-release of first 2 books that had few kinks, but worry not - Jack nails it on all levels, giving characters memorable voices to help flesh out their personalities. Highly recommend this book as well as other books narrated by Jack Voraces!

Historia
Caledan is caught in the middle of a warring dragon clan, and Soren is powerless to save his people or stop the attacks, but worse is coming. The Elementals are rising. If Caledan is not destroyed by dragon fire, it will be obliterated by the Elementals’ ancient magic. Soren despairs as the alliance between men, Eldarkind, and dragons falls apart. Strife and fear are rampant, and his inability to stop the rebel dragon attacks undermines the peace he has worked so hard to secure.

A solid final
Revisado: 04-24-21
Perhaps I am a bit spoiled by Chronicles of Pelenor books, but I felt like this book was slightly weaker compared to its counterpart or to previous entry of the series. Overall the experience is rewarding and the story is interesting. My main gripe with the book is that it's too predictable and too black and white.
In terms of narration though, Jack is probably my favourite narrator so I only have good things to say here: as always it's high quality and very pleasant to listen.

Revisado: 04-24-21
Well, there is not much to say here really :)
The conclusion of the series was really rewarding and at some places, truly heartbreaking: of course I won't spoil anything here, but get ready to shed a tear or two... As always, Meg hid few surprises here and there and I bet you won't see them coming.
And to add on top of already great stories Jack really delivers it with his narration!

A long overdue review :)
Meg (and Jack!) manage to keep things interesting book after book. I love how it is consistently interesting and entertaining. What I enjoyed a lot is the slight shift from action packed book 1-2 to character development and building. And even though it's already third book certain plot twists were quite a surprise to me. I feel like with each book Meg Cowley improves in her writing.
The narration is top notch as usual. I listened to almost all books by Jack and you can really see how he improves with each book.

Evil returns to Pelenor. The court of shadows will reign. The revolution has begun. Dimitri raised Saradon willingly; but now he realises that time, hate, and the darkest of magics have twisted a revolutionary into an evil that seeks dominion over all. Dimitri is bound to Saradon’s cause, no matter the abhorrent acts Saradon already commits. The dwarven realm of Valtivar shall be the first to fall to the feral scourge of goblins, followed by the crumbling kingdom of Pelenor, unless Dimitri can somehow twist his orders to avert the death of both nations before it is too late.

A great sequel to the great book
Revisado: 01-07-21
So, what can I say here... Both Meg Cowley and Jack do not seize to amuse me: both the stellar narration and the story makes me want to listen to the book on any occasion: whether it's during my commute or even a short 10 min shopping trip. I've really enjoyed the way author manages to keep a balance between the tension of each story arc and calm, peaceful moments that happen here and there.
I cannot help but admire the great job Jack did by giving a distinct voice to each character making all of them memorable and perfectly matching their personalities - without a doubt one of my favourite narrators.

Brilliant Story and Terrifc Performance!
Revisado: 04-14-20
After listening to some of Books of Caladan series I thought that I can hardly by impressed with the story in the same world and setting. Gosh, was I wrong! Heart of Dragons turned out such a dynamic book with deep and complex characters, non trivial story and overall amazing audiobook to listen. It was one those books that I tried to listen anytime I got a free 5 minutes or more.
As for the narration, Jack continues to deliver the highest quality performance. I love his pacing, the choice of voices and how he make every character sound unique. This is series is a must for anyone who is a fan of epic fantasy and terrific narration!

High quality fantasy
Revisado: 11-14-19
First of all I want to say that so far I have immensely enjoyed every narration done by Jack and The Tainted Crown is no exception. This book is a well rounded classically written fantasy, that kicks off strongly from the very first chapter. The story though is fairly straightforward and, in my opinion, lacks some extra action here and there, but overall I enjoyed it.

Loved it!
Revisado: 11-14-19
I rated the story side of the first book 4/5 as I found it little underwhelming here and there. I was happy to see (or hear) that the sequel not just corrected those flaws but also improved in all areas I already liked. Contrary to The Tainted Crown, the story is more dramatic and features a series of unexpected plot twists: some of them made me gasp or hold my breath for a moment. I liked how we get to know better each character, including antagonists. I don't know if there was anything I didn't like about this book - it was amazing and I strongly recommend to grab it if you like epic fantasy.
