What didn’t you like about Lynnette Freeman’s performance?

Lynnette's reading made this story completely boring and a joke. The different voices she used were annoying and jokey. I especially hate the way she read in the male characters voices. The narration was more like listening to a Saturday morning cartoon rather than a book reading.

Was Charisma worth the listening time?

No. I managed to get through it but it wasn't enjoyable.

What did you like best about Luxe? What did you like least?

I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought this book. The narrator is horrendous. She's extremely boring and reads in a flat, lisp accented voice. No emotion or feeling. She ruins the story.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Couldn't get into the story line with the narrator.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I'm not sure who would enjoy this book. I'm extremely disappointed by the story and especially the ending. The author insisted on punishing the main character although she wasn't deserving of the out come. I'm left wondering why?

Has The Reason Why turned you off from other books in this genre?

I'm pretty much over all the same stories about these criminals and their burgeoning drug empires. I'd actually like to see more stories told where the characters aren't involved in illegal activity.

Love the story, Hate the narrarator

Would you listen to Thug Matrimony again? Why?

No. I don't like that Patricia Floyd makes the disgusting smacking wet noises when she talks. She has a nice voice if you can stand the smacking noises.

How could the performance have been better?

Maybe edit out the wet noises the narrator makes

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes ! I Love the story. I have all of the books in the series.

I liked the story.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Made for a good listen while I work. I couldn't believe the story ended the way it did. I immediately came to audible to look for the second part. Also, I'm extremely annoyed that the narrator had an unbearable lisp. It's very distracting.

Except the narrators male voices were a joke. Maybe if the scene was set in 1890 and not in LA the voices would be believable. The story could have been a good one but the writing was very corny.

This book doesn't compare to Wahida's other books.

What about Mr. Gates’s performance did you like?

His voice is amazing, clear and sexy. He reads the voice of women without the unnecessary drawl and high pitch that many male narrators adopt.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely. The story line kept me interested and wanting to know who, what, when and why.

Any additional comments?

More of Mr Gates please. His voice is yummy.

What would have made Girls From Da Hood 9 better?

The stories wre not very interesting.. I know these are short stories but two of them ended abruptly leaving a few questions unanswered,

Would you ever listen to anything by the authors again?

Not sure if I will try these authors out again. I've read books by Chunichi before and she's usually pretty good but I was disappointed this time.

Which character – as performed by Diane Luke and Celeste Graham – was your favorite?

Diana Luke is one of my favorite narrators.

What made the experience of listening to The Book of Night Women the most enjoyable?

I haven't listened to a book this well written, narrated and produced since I listened to "Love" performed by Toni Morrison. Vividly written, this book took me through a range of emotions: Anger, fear, sadness and understanding. This is definitely a must read.

The Kitchen House

I enjoyed listening to this book. Great story line, great narrator. BEWARE The second half of the book skips around. This must be some kind of error with the production.
