It is an excellent story with a very dynamic arc. My only problem is the names should be a little further apart. I'm quite sure that the names are a bit further apart in the original Korean, but several times in the story, I don't know which is talking, the protagonist or his friend, whose name sounds almost identical. It would be akin to having a novel in English where the main characters are named James, Jim, and Jimmy. They do spend a little too much time on the character sheet, but the good news is that it doesn't get ridiculously long, like in several other LITRPG titles. Looking forward to book 2!

This book left me with a warm feeling. The author really knows how to get you emotionally invested in the story. This book is cyberpunk to the core, but not overly so. The cyber tech is there, but like most people today say they like this or that car they are talking about the difference between brands of cyber gear. I love it when the author does research into what they’re writing, and they’ve done a really good job on this one. The story centers around a group of young helicopter pilots. The author has read a great deal or has flown in the past. Follow the main characters through mazes of both mundane and tech problems. This is one of the few books I will actually give a second listen to. I have heard that book 2 of the series will soon be in audio format.

The narrators did a wonderful job giving each character a soul and a voice. Though it was only two people I had no problem knowing who was talking at any time.

This is a LitRPg novel that is stat light. There are few paradoxes. The book does have a tendency to jump around in several spots as you are expecting to see what happened when they go to do a new job, and the next line they were some time in the future. I admit I had to go back to make sure I hadn’t skipped a chapter. This is a very well-written book, and I’m looking forward to the next in the series!

This series has several interesting concepts and runs pretty stat light. It has been translated from Russian to English, which is not the easiest thing to do due to the syntax and sentence structure differences. The author in this series has elected to just pick up in the next book where the last one left off. Instead of book 2, chapter 1, you get book 2, chapter 89, and so on. It is a LitRPG, but it is stat light, and the MC doesn’t agonize over reading his character sheet several times per chapter. He also has a vague idea about the direction he wants to take his character. He makes a number of landmark discoveries, and his lack of how to play an MMORPG is a strength instead of a hindrance. It is good work and a new look, so give it a credit or ten. I’ve read that he intends to have 1000 chapters in total, but that was what the writer of Once Piece said.

Robb Ross has done it again; this book is outstanding; he managed to keep the vibe from page 1 of book 1 to the end of book 3! This is an epic story of the struggles of humanity on a broader scale. Instead of fighting each other, we have to defend ourselves. One thing about the author I like is that the characters are individuals with different lines of thinking. He doesn't have monochrome hivemind characters. He likes to plant Easter Eggs in his books, and it is fun to find them. Keep going, Robb, and we can have a wee dram of some good scotch one day!

So far, the books have been about the challenges that our heroes face in each realm. The title of this book is called "The Fifth Realm." It is more about building infrastructure in the first and fourth realms with a very short visit to the fifth realm. It really should be called The Fourth Realm Book 2.

Everything you wanted to know about brewing beer

This is a very good, stat light litrpg. There is very little copy and paste in this book. It is an Isekai that introduces some modern science to fantasy. It is very heavy on the science of brewing beer and puns. Several interlude chapters really don’t help advance the story and come off as annoying at times. Watch as a human from Earth learns how to adapt to life as a dwarf. The love of beer and all the trimmings is what sustains the main character. The author said that the dwarves have a Scottish accent, but the narrator can’t seem to pull it off; they sound more Irish, and one sounds like he came from Jamaica. The narrator is overall great and gives soul to the multitude of characters. It is good to see that the author included some excellent world-building skills. I look forward to book 2.

This is the second time I purchased this trio. The first time it had chapters missing, so I decided to wait until it was fixed. The good news is that it has been fixed. I found it annoying that every chapter began with the same statement. I didn’t mind the reading of the almanac after the statement. This isn’t your epic battle book with armies facing down against the mega boss. This is the life of a farmer and his trials and tribulations. Several paradoxes in the books don’t impact the story overly much. There are twists that you don’t see coming, but some arguments are a bit unrealistic. Overall, it is a good story, and they don’t bombard you with stats. Three books for one credit typically means you will have to slog through. I found that It was a good listen and worth the credit. My main complaint is that the main character is named Jason. Come on, guys, there are a ton of other names out there! They use several phrases in the book that shouldn’t exist in another world but don’t detract from the story.

Sadly it appears that there will be no further books converted to audio in this series.

This is an excellent example of poor writing. Every woman wants the MC, and he usually delivers. The problem with the delivery is that he is bonded to the women once it is complete. Being bound means that he can override their free will. If that were the case here on Earth, the human race would have ended long ago. The events are more of a straight line than a rollercoaster. There is no max scene or wind down. The MC isn’t invulnerable, but he may as well be. The world mechanics are adjusted in several places to make the plot work. Want to see the impossible that would kill any other person? Just hang out with the MC for a day or so. That is the norm with him. It is four books for one credit, but I must admit that I wasn’t invested anymore towards the end and nearly put the thing down several times. I can’t even say it is a great story idea as it has been told so many times it is almost cliche. If you want some background noise, this is your series.

Author needs to pay attension to writing

I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible the only spoiler is in world mechanics, nothing plot related.
For starters, this is a book with one guy and scores of women; why did he choose a male narrator when 99% of the cast is female? I understand that the book is from the male's POV, but it sometimes gets hard to know who is talking. The good news is that the book has some scenes that are 18 plus, but it also has a storyline that takes up the majority of the book. Another thing the author needs to do is pay attention to his own world laws. When an elf dies, their bodies instantly disintegrate, leaving what they were wearing behind. How, then, is it possible for undead elves to exist? If there is no corpse, there is nothing to reanimate.

This is a unique story with some well-thought-out world-building. There are a few gaps and paradoxes, but overall a decent listen.

Protagonist obcesses over reading charicter sheet

This is a decent story, but the entire character sheet is read almost after every skill level, perk, new skill, or level up. Extremely stat heavy. Listening to the narrator sounds like he was the late Paul Harvey's understudy. Our novel starts with the protagonist dying on Earth and awakening on another world with completely different rules or, in a word, iseaki. I understand that in book one, world mechanics being established means more stats, but I hope in book 2, they've pulled back a wee bit. Sadly most people hear the character sheet and don't remember what it was two paragraphs after reading it. I was hoping that at the end, the narrator was going to say, "And now you know the rest of the story."
