Historia
Equipped with the entirety of human knowledge, a sentient ship is launched on a last-ditch journey to find a new home for civilization. Trillions of miles. Tens of thousands of years. In the space between, the AI has plenty of time to think about life, the vastness of the universe, everything it was meant to do, and—with a perspective created but not limited by humans—what it should do.

I find myself wanting to return to this piece again and again. Very relaxing, yet thought provoking. Truly helps you appreciate the reciprocal relationship between space and time and it's effect on life.
Excellent!

Historia
Janna Levin takes us on an evocative exploration of black holes, provoking us to imagine the visceral experience of a black hole encounter. She reveals the influence of black holes as they populate the universe, sculpt galaxies, and even infuse the whole expanse of reality that we inhabit. Lively, engaging, and utterly unique, Black Hole Survival Guide is not just informative - it is, as well, a wonderful listen from first to last.

Historia
Lirael lost one of her hands in the binding of Orannis, but now she has a new hand, one of gilded steel and Charter Magic. On a dangerous journey, Lirael returns to her childhood home, the Clayr's Glacier, where she was once a Second Assistant Librarian. There a young woman from the distant North brings her a message from her long-dead mother, Arielle. It is a warning about the Witch with No Face. But who is the Witch, and what is she planning?

don't bother-- just read the book
Revisado: 09-06-21
I can't fathom why they would follow up performances by Tim Curry with this. This narrator was AWFUL. It was like my Google home mini was reading the book to me.
The story nicely wraps up the last 2 works of Clariel & across the wall. I miss the dog, but that's the point. Everyone has a time to die.

Historia
Seven hundred years ago, a Black Widow witch saw an ancient prophecy come to life in her web of dreams and visions. Now, the Dark Kingdom readies itself for the arrival of its queen, a witch who will wield more power than even the High Lord of Hell himself. But she is still young, still open to influence - and corruption.

Who chose this narrator???
Revisado: 11-17-16
What would have made Daughter of the Blood better?
A different narrator. I absolutely love this series, and the choice of performer was devastating. It sounds like they got a nineteen year old to record a reading of it after school for extra cash.
How could the performance have been better?
I would've chosen a narrator with the timbre of soft thunder Ms. Bishop so eloquently describes in her prose.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Daughter of the Blood?
As I said, the book is fantastic as it is. The narrator did not bring this to life for me.
