Historia
After three marriages and a lot of living, resilient Billie Slate knows exactly what trouble love can bring. Now she’s reinvented herself as the Heartbreak Bunny, an on-call performance artist who can heal anyone who’s been burned by that four-letter word, LOVE, by hopping about and whisking away sad mementos from their past relationships. Call it magic. Call it peculiar. But her bunny costume is as perfect as her breakup mantra: SNAP OUT OF IT.

Dawson is always a nice break
Revisado: 10-09-24
I gravitate toward a Maddie Dawson book when I need a break from my other genres. She’s light-hearted, makes me laugh out loud and always provides a feel good story.

Historia
Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard; the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father falls ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters.

Sad history
Revisado: 04-24-24
I didn’t know what I had downloaded, just that I love stories about war and history that alternates with modern day. This story was so sad. I try not to read sad stories, reality has enough of them. But, this one I could not put down. I didn’t know anything about the Siege of Leningrad, I always read other WW2 stories. My heart is broken at the end of this book, but I’m not sad I read it. It is good to understand history. I wish we could change it, but at least we can learn not to repeat it. Thank you for writing this.

Historia
The meet-cute award goes to dog groomer Juliet Nolan. It’s one of Hollywood’s biggest nights when she volunteers as a seat filler and winds up next to movie heartthrob Noah freaking Douglas. Tongue-tied and toes curling in her pink Converse, she pretends that she doesn’t have a clue who he is. It’s the only way to keep from swooning. She’s pretty and unpretentious, loves his dog, and is not a worshipping fan. No way Noah’s giving up on her, even if his affectionate pursuit comes with a bump: Juliet has a pathological fear of kissing....

It is what you expect
Revisado: 07-02-23
I like listening to audio books when I’m mowing, doing housework and running between kids activities. I don’t want anything too deep that I have to pay too close attention to, but keeps me entertained. This one is what you expect it to be. I could follow along, chuckled a couple times out loud and appreciated the story. Good light-hearted listen to fill the house of being a mom on the go.

Historia
Prepared for a good time, Tessa is thrilled to spend the weeks before her sister’s wedding at their family’s favorite vacation spot: Santorini. Sandy beaches, stonewashed houses, attractive men—it’s heaven. But Tessa’s idea of a girls’ trip comes to a screaming halt when her sister thinks it’s high time Tessa finds some love herself. Unfortunately, Tessa forgot about the deal she made back in high school: she has to find her soulmate before her sister’s wedding. Or else.

I just enjoy Meghan Quinn
Revisado: 05-13-23
I’m always looking for entertainment in my audio books. I don’t have time to focus to think hard during carpool, running to kids activities and running errands. Quinn’s books never fail at keeping me entertained and laughing out loud in the grocery store or while out for a walk. Vacations Wars did not fail in this goal. Easy to go from audio to book without missing a beat and the story is fun and light. There were points where this one made me sad, but it always came back to a good punch line or funny situation to lighten the mood.

Historia
Hollywood screenwriter Sawyer Walsh knows a good love story when he sees it. But when it comes to real life romance, he’s a mess. That’s how he finds himself standing at the altar…as his ex-girlfriend ties the knot with his very famous best friend. The pressure, the resentment, the media coverage—it’s all too much—and before he knows exactly what he’s doing, he’s making a run for it, leaving a shocked congregation and flashing cameras in his wake.

I just like Meghan Quinn
Revisado: 01-24-23
All Quinn’s books are fun to read with laugh out loud moments and slight nods to other books in her library. I love how she weaves a story together and makes it easy to read while I unwind after work or wait for kids at sports practices. A little Hallmark-esk feel, but that’s what I keep coming back for. Who doesn’t love a happy ending that includes a little romance, characters doing embarrassing things and a lot of laughs.
