I will say there are parts that are slightly unrealistic, however if you believe in destiny and not coincidence and that things are meant to be, fate, kismet, etc… then you’ll love this book. The relationship between the two MC’s sucked me in and their love was very strong, I could feel it coming off the pages. The mc’s were also both lovable characters. Definitely give it a go. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This book ripped me open, bruised my insides and wore me out, but I absolutely loved it. All three characters are likeable and it’s easily to see how Kayla fell for both men. Lucky girl. The smut was hot but didn’t overshadow the story. I could relate with Reese’s impulsivity and charismatic zest for life, so I really understood his character and loved the way he was written. But I also loved Dev’s character too. The twins were very yin and Yang. I would def recommend this book, but it takes some twists, turns and detours.

One of the best I’ve listened to this year, and I fly through books, so I’ve heard hundreds.
Riley Nash is a new author to me, and I’ll def be digging into her books. Her writing was very poetic, capturing the beauty of the story. The two main characters were beautifully written, and well developed. I loved how eccentric Victor, such an opposite of Ethan. It started a little slow but once it picks up, it takes off. The last 25%, I couldn’t put it down. I ordered the hard copy to do a second read through bc once everything comes out at the end, I’m interested ti go back and see if there were things I missed.
The less you know the better it is, go in as blind as you can, it’s enthralling and will not disappoint. This is one of those books that stays with you for days after.

Unfortunately, because of the female narrator, it was an absolute whip to finish this audiobook. Serena Bowen = auto by. Jason Clark = auto by…, however, Lessa Lamb = hard pass. It was the first book of hers I’ve listened to and it will be my last, I ended up having to skip over her chapters and read them in Kindle instead. I honestly hope she reads these reviews, not because I want to hurt her feelings or anything, but I think she has the potential to be good if she would not over enunciate and over act the entire time. The part didn’t sound natural… it sounded acted which ruins it for me. Her male voice was almost as bad as Savannah Peachwood.
The story itself was great, I really liked it. I like all of Serena Bowen stuff. The only complaint I would have is that Leila was not nice to Mateo when he was trying to be helpful. Also, any couples in these types of romance novels where they have such a lack of communication, it’s annoying. What could’ve been cleared up with one short conversation, didn’t happen until the end. I get that the book needs some kind of drama or angst, but when the characters won’t tell each other how they feel a lot of stubbornness is very annoying.

All in all, I’ve got book though if you can deal with a female narrator otherwise I’d recommend reading it

I have read/listened to a romance novel every few days for 4 years… so hundreds. And this book the most emotionally charged book I’ve read. From start to finish I was completely enthralled. The book starts with what is about 75% of the way through in the timeline, but I absolutely see why the author wrote it that way and I think that’s what hooked me so.

The characters, both MC’s and a supporting character, were all very likable and in conflict, I could see all sides. They communicated and grew together then apart then together. These men worked HARD for the HEA. Yes, the trope is at face-value taboo, it’s not disturbing or anything. If reading about extremely rough sex isn’t for you then you’ll be offended. I wasn’t and in fact, it added to the traits of each character in the relationship.

I would 100000% recommend this book. Liam isn’t my fave narrator but he was tolerable. And Teddy, well he can do no wrong.

I loved the feel of this college romance. I’m a fan of the bi/gay awakening trope. The way that Noah was so patient with Liam, but yet firm in his resolution to not put his heart out there to be broken… it spoke volumes of his own self-respect. The character development that Liam went through was a great part of the entire story. I would highly recommend it, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

This was the first book by Becca Steele that I have read/listen to. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the two main characters. There was a very animalistic vibe in their attraction towards each other,… the fine line between love and hate, and all that. I think it made the book for sure. The narrators also did a stellar job. You can never go wrong with James Joseph and Will Watt was also east on the ears.

I really enjoyed this book! It was the first book of mistakes that I’ve read. It kept me entertained, it was realistic and there were no holes in the plot. The main characters had a great character development, and I liked the fact that they stayed in love throughout the book and there were no games played, she wasn’t wishy-washy like a lot of female lead characters can be. That was refreshing.
There was a slight Insta-love feel, but when two people are meant to be together and they both know it when they meet, it does happen. having the feeling of knowing the person already though you’ve just met… it’s rare but exists. My own love story with my husband was very much the same and we are still together a decade later. So while I typically prefer slow burn, in this case the Insta-love made sense.

My only complaint was the continued mention of pubic hair during sex. The line “I didn’t know where his beard ended and my pubic hair began” was completely unnecessary and not even a little sexy… it honestly killed the scene. Then she mentions it AGAIN in the same scene “our pubic hair meshed together” LIKE, why?!? It made me think this author is obsessed with pubic hair. Or maybe a fetish? I don’t get it.

The male narration was on point, Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber (same person) is always an auto buy for me and he never fails. Emma Wilder isn’t my favorite. I’ve heard her before and she’s just tolerable, but it’s only her male voice that I can stand the female voice is just annoying. All in all it was good though.

I really liked the set up of this story. I understood why we didn’t get a back story though a few flashbacks would have been a good add. However, even in its short length. 8 really got a good feel for the chemistry and love-not-lost between Arlington and Frankie. It also had a good set up for what I think will be the next in this series.
Narration was 50% good. Zachary Webber is ALWAYS an auto-buy and ALWAYS amazing. I could’ve done without the other guy. I would’ve preferred Teddy Hamilton or just have ZW narrating both parts.
Overall though, I’m happy with this book and will read the next when it comes out.
