Historia
Shannon Moss is part of a clandestine division within the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. In western Pennsylvania, 1997, she is assigned to solve the murder of a Navy SEAL's family - and to locate his vanished teenage daughter. Though she can't share the information with conventional law enforcement, Moss discovers that the missing SEAL was an astronaut aboard the spaceship USS Libra - a ship assumed lost to the currents of Deep Time. Moss knows firsthand the mental trauma of time travel and believes the SEAL's experience with the future has triggered this violence.

Revisado: 10-08-21
This was an interesting read. The author took on part of time travel but I think they could have done better on that topic. the story line was engaging and the characters interesting. it kept my attention.

Historia
It was not common to awaken in a cloning vat streaked with drying blood. At least Maria Arena had never experienced it. She had no memory of how she died. That was also new; before, when she had awakened as a new clone, her first memory was of how she died. Maria's vat was in the front of six vats, each one holding the clone of a crew member of the starship Dormire, each clone waiting for its previous incarnation to die so it could awaken. And Maria wasn't the only one to die recently....

Different take on revenge
Revisado: 06-13-19
Different. This was a pretty entertaining and innovative story about...revenge. It is a quick read which I found quite fun to listen to if confusing at times. The disturbing idea that ones mind can be hacked and reloaded into the next instance of you (think clone) was fascinating. I found the read very entertaining.

Historia
The planet is isolated from the rest of the universe, unable to seek help as it's targeted by hostile aliens. Bienvenido's ruling authorities have slowly responded to this gradual infiltration, but they have no idea that a highly organized invasion is now under way, designed to wipe out all human life on the planet. All factions must work together to survive. Unfortunately, due to prejudice against enhanced Eliter humans and crippling technophobia, the parochial government won't collaborate.

Another entertaining story in the commonwealth
Revisado: 08-03-18
Well I liked this story. The commonwealth theme is starting get a little old, but the story was fun anyway. I was surprised a few times (which was nice) and the final solution was quite entertaining. Overall, I liked this series quite a bit.

Historia
The Two Towers is the second volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic saga, The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship has been forced to split up. Frodo and Sam must continue alone towards Mount Doom, where the One Ring must be destroyed. Meanwhile, at Helm’s Deep and Isengard, the first great battles of the War of the Ring take shape. In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien’s great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe - hobbits, elves, and wizards - spring to life. Rob Inglis’ narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

Classic story - old presentation
Revisado: 06-19-18
This is a great story that could do with a significantly better performance. I guess I am spoiled by the movies where the characters really added to the story. The reader is somewhat boring and presents everything in sort a traditional reader view. Given modern audiobooks that are really more like performances, the narration was really not up to standards of today. But the story is of course a classic - so its still worth listening to.

Historia
The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Very fun story on a very disturbing topic
Revisado: 06-19-18
Gotta love this story. Humorous and entertaining while representing very deep topics in a very satirical light. Not many stories can talk about the end of the world while riding on a Harly or driving an old bentley. Well done.

Historia
The youngest, half-goblin son of the Emperor has lived his entire life in exile, distant from the Imperial Court and the deadly intrigue that suffuses it. But when his father and three sons in line for the throne are killed in an "accident," he has no choice but to take his place as the only surviving rightful heir. Entirely unschooled in the art of court politics, he has no friends, no advisors, and the sure knowledge that whoever assassinated his father and brothers could make an attempt on his life at any moment.

Fun Fantasy story with a few twists
Revisado: 06-19-18
This is an old type story told in a new way. Goblins and Elves are not constantly at war. Royal marriages to make a deal. Royal lineage and accidental results. In general an interesting story that was very entertaining. Worth the read. The telling was very good and the characters well represented.

Underwhelmed
Revisado: 05-23-18
I expected a great story given the hype and movie and all. The story was interesting but very light. I did not feel the author developed the charactors or the story anywhere near what it should have been - especially given the conclusion. The story sort of held together until the last few chapters and the end is just ... well sort of dropped at your feet. I just did not "feel" the story.

Intriguing Story
Revisado: 05-23-18
Although this is another post-apocalyptic novel, it has some interesting twists. some of this is predicable and it is covers 20 years past the event. The characters are interesting - and there is a bit of pay back embedded in the book - be careful how you treat folks - they may come back to haunt you. But overall a pretty interesting story.

Interesting idea - fair execution
Revisado: 05-12-18
Another pretty good Koontz novel. Interest and innovative, I felt the plot held together pretty well and the character development, for the most part, was pretty good. Some characters got lost towards the end. The ending itself was very quick given the rest of the book which was unfortunate. I felt a bit more time could have been spent on the story closure.
The performance was great.
