Historia
The Bodine ranch and resort in western Montana is a family business, an idyllic spot for vacationers. A little over thirty thousand acres and home to four generations, it’s kept running by Bodine Longbow with the help of a large staff, including new hire Callen Skinner. There was another member of the family once: Bodine’s aunt, Alice, who ran off before Bodine was born.

Eh.
Revisado: 04-16-25
The storyline of Alice was the only part with some substance. The book was full of fluff. Very shallow.

Historia
The history of the ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah and their kings is a story of epic heroes and villains. David was the God-chosen savior who fought giants, and the remarkable individual who inspired the world’s greatest artists to create their immortal sculptures and paintings. Solomon is regarded as the author of many of the proverbs that we still use - and the ancient sources say he was married to 70 foreign princesses. The protagonists of this book also include famous rulers of the ancient world, such as Queen of Sheba and Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.

Beautiful
Revisado: 08-29-22
This book was wonderful. All five stars. I had to make myself not listen to Under the Whispering Door. I was finishing it far too quickly. I had to slow down in order to savor each word and to make it last longer.

Where is John McDonough?
Revisado: 08-27-18
Scott Sowers does a fine job, but John McDonough became THE VOICE of this book series and for me, has become an integral part of the book series. I could not get past the first chapter of this book. No more Mitford books for me without Mr. McDonough. (I can’t honestly rate the story, and would have left it blank if I could).
