This story not only gets you into a complex mystery as all the Lei Crime stories do, but it is also a story about the strength of a relationship, what a couple can endure, and how much trust they have in one another.

What I really liked about this story is that you get a glimpse into the mind of the criminal, much more than in prior stories. Also, you have two investigations going on - one with Lei and the other with Michael. Quite the ride!

As always, Sara is a phenomenal narrator. I listed to a lot of audiobooks, and she is by far my favorite narrator!

This story takes you through the lives of two people who are good friends but secretly pine away for each other most of their lives. Although the story is predictable at times, the storyline keeps moving along and is enjoyable. Overall, a sweet story.

My only issue with the story is that some of the writing is a bit awkward. The author is constantly mentioning lemons in the story. The smell of lemons. The scent of lemons. The aura of lemons. Too many lemon references in the book that isn't about cooking. Also, at times the dialogue was confusing and I wasn't sure who was having a conversation.

The narrator did a pretty good job in telling the story and jugging various characters. Her voice is easy to listen to and does a nice job of bringing the story to life.

What a lovely story! Secret Keeper is about the bond between lovers, family, and friends and how that bond can be tested over time. The story spans WWII to present day as we learn about a mother and her daughters and her troubling and secret past. No spoilers here - but the ending took me by complete surprise.

The narrator was really good. Ill admit, as an American it took me a while to adjust to the accent of the narrator and to understand the nuances, but she did a really nice job of bringing the story to life.

As with all Lei Crime stories, the beautiful back drop of Hawaii and the culture of the islands come through. This story puts Lei in the limelight with a high profile case and allows you to meet some compelling and intriguing characters. There are so many unexpected twists and turns that I found myself many times sitting in the driveway...car parked, listening to see what happened next!

We learn more about Lei and Stevens, and even though there is no blatant sex in this book, the romance scenes did make my heart skips beat!

The narrator is incredible - one of the best out there!

It is such a treat to have an author read her own book - and Liz Gilbert does a great job!

Big Magic is a book about how to live a creative life and to embrace (not fight!) your fears. Although written through the lens of an author, her advice and insight easily translates into other professions and transcends all aspects of your life.

I'd recommend this book.

I honestly can't remember the last time a book had such a profound impact on me. After I listened to the closing credits, I had to stop and just sit a minute...to let the story and messages sink in.

This is a fabulous story about a boy who becomes Frankie Presto, a famous musician. The story is told in 'Forrest Gump style fashion and takes you through the magnificent and sometimes heartbreaking life of Frankie. It is a story about the gifts we are given and how our lives impact each other. It is about the magic of life.

What is really special is the cast of narrators that include Mitch Albom, Roger McGuinn, Ingrid Michaelson, John Pizzarelli, and Paul Stanley among others. Yes! Musicians that play themselves! I can't ever imagine reading the book after listening to it - fantastic.

I will definitely listen to this story again...and again...

Heartbreaking Story From a Heartbreaking Time

I have unwittingly been immersing myself in books about the WWII era, and this one really stands out. The author takes a look at two parallel lives, one of a French Jew and the other of a German soldier, and explores the difficulties each face. Although one is physically blind, the other is blind to what he is involved in.

No spoilers here, but I will say it's a really well-written story with beautiful prose.

The narrator does a really great job with the characters and and their various accents.

This is the first Lisa Kleypas book I read/listened to. I really enjoyed it and found the story enjoyable. Although predictable at points, the story kept moving and kept me engaged. The narrator did a pretty good job given the many characters in the story.

I would recommend this book.

I won't comment on the story--I can't add anything! It's wonderful.

The narrator was fabulous. She did an outstanding job with all of the characters and evoking the emotion of the story. I found a new appreciation for this timeless book.

The story is interesting enough, about unrequited love, the power of family, and forgiveness. The dialogue at times is elementary and storyline predictable. But it's a good book if you're looking to escape.

I probably would have enjoyed the story more if it wasn't for the narrator. She was often monotone and her inflections were ill-placed. The main character, Vivvy, sounded like a pre-teen rather than a grown woman and the male voices were not believable. I found the narrators style very distracting.
