Historia
When Nolan Sackett met Penelope Hume in a cantina at Borregos Plaza, the girl immediately captured his attention. That she was heir to a lost cache of gold didn’t make her any less desirable. But Penelope isn’t the only one after her grandfather’s treasure; Sylvie, Ralph, and Andrew Karnes, distant relatives with no legal claim to the gold, are obsessed with claiming the Hume fortune for themselves. Their all-consuming sense of entitlement recklessly drives them to ambush and murder.

Must be Unedited version.
Revisado: 06-27-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I remember reading this book as a ten year old. I wonder if that edition had been edited?? I find this version much in need of a good editor.
Would you recommend Five Little Peppers and How They Grew to your friends? Why or why not?
Questionable.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Seems cumbersome. A ten year old might take a different opinion.

Historia
Another shockingly suspenseful installment in #1 New York Times best-selling author Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. Burned picks up right where the surprising conclusion of Iced left off, and will feature beloved characters Mac and Dani O'Malley as they embark on another high-octane adventure in the Fever world.

Not what I Expected
Revisado: 02-10-15
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I didn't experience any indication of a thought process. I fear the author is tired of this story and wishes to pursue a different subject. I wonder if Karen Moning is writing under another name?

1st person narrative
Revisado: 06-07-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
More dialog less 1st person.
Would you recommend Iced to your friends? Why or why not?
In order to get on with the story one needs to read for information. I would not go audio, but ebook.
What about Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross ’s performance did you like?
I liked Joan Beans better. Gigante did not seem as good as in the Highlander Series.
Could you see Iced being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
This must be the reason why I did not like the audio. This could be better as a TV script???

Herman Wouk's sweeping epic of World War II stands as the crowning achievement of one of America's most celebrated storytellers. Like no other books about the war, Wouk's spellbinding narrative captures the tide of global events - and all the drama, romance, heroism, and tragedy of World War II - as it immerses us in the lives of a single American family drawn into the very center of the war's maelstrom.

Use with Kindle at the Battle descriptions
Revisado: 05-03-13
What did you love best about The Winds of War?
Good book, good narrator, buy print version or Kindle to deal with battle scenes. I remember the TV MiniSeries and am astonished that the Director of those videos followed the book very closely (or as closely as possibly).
What other book might you compare The Winds of War to and why?
By all means complete the story with War and Remembrance; this review goes for it as well.
What does Kevin Pariseau bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Good voice, good inflection.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Watch the TV MiniSeries (not sure another film is needed).
Any additional comments?
Finish the story with War and Remembrance. Wish this author had done a generation advance story of the boys: Warren's son, Vic, and Byron's boy, Louis. Also the children of Pug and Pamela; and Madolyn and Sym's children etc etc!

Historia
In this first novel, we are introduced to suave, handsome Tom Ripley: a young striver, newly arrived in the heady world of Manhattan in the 1950s. A product of a broken home, branded a "sissy" by his dismissive Aunt Dottie, Ripley becomes enamored of the moneyed world of his new friend, Dickie Greenleaf. This fondness turns obsessive when Ripley is sent to Italy to bring back his libertine pal, but he grows enraged by Dickie's ambivalent feelings for Marge, a charming American dilettante.

Wonder if it improves?
Revisado: 02-21-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I do not like the apparent premise of this book. Maybe the serial books improve, but I do not see how!
Would you ever listen to anything by Patricia Highsmith again?
Questionable whether I will try this author again.
Which scene was your favorite?
Nothing to use the adjective, favorite, with.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Cant think of a redeeming feature.
Any additional comments?
None
