Unfortunately the angsty epilogue

The logical fallacy bothered me. “It’s too easy”. “They weren’t real attempts” but let me do what I’m being goaded to do. But the ending and epilogue was horrifyingly annoying. W. T. F.

Political crap.

I have been a Joe Ledger fan since book one. Maberry was a good author but he’s gotten too big for his own good. He takes a long time between book because he’s editing anthologies and when he does finally write something he can’t keep his political views out of it. Same or different views, I don’t want current politics in my fiction. Maberry you aren’t any better than anyone else. Your opinion means crap to me if you feel you have a right to force it on others. I don’t care if we align or conduct on views - you aren’t better than any of your readers. Right now you are less than sewage to me. RIP Joe Ledger. You deserved better. (And I have rated authors on the other side of things the same and returned them too. You are an entertainer - nothing more)

Story for kids

The story was very much for kids. The reader was a trial to bear. The whining tone, the sniveling tones…. It made me grind my teeth to suffer though. This didn’t feel like a Kim Harrison book at all. Disappointed

Keep your politics out of stories

I read a variety of people - some with similar politics. Some with opposite and some I have no idea of their politics…and THAT last is how it should be. I’ve returned books where the author had similar and where they were the opposite political beliefs.

I read fiction for an escape - not to be lectured (again, same or different doesn’t matter)

I want to finish the series but it’s not worth it. Sorry

I know the author won’t care. Shrug. Ciao

Not worth the money

I am not a fan of the “interviews” with the characters. I didn’t like the deleted scenes with no context if you haven’t read that book in a while.

A few new ones that were good but not worth the money. Seemed liked a money grab and that disappointed me

A different reader please!!

This gentleman sound as if he had a large wad of gum in his mouth the entire time. His Bones was cringy - to be fair maybe comparing to Tavi Gilbert who has the iconic Bones - but his females were horrid. Didn’t sound like a female and Kat came off as petulant.

The story is one we’ve heard but from a different pov. Feels a bit like trying to get more from a dry well.

Please… if there is a #2… Tavi Gilbert. I’d buy the first one again to get her as the reader.

Gave the overall because it’s a favorite series… but disappointing
