The poster child for bad scifi

It was bad in book one but I still wanted to give it a chance. By the end of book 2 I wanted them all dead. It's like every science fiction TV show you've ever seen that got cancelled because it was going nowhere. Filled with characters that couldn't keep the same personality throughout the story. Unable to make simple leaps of faith and intelligence a little below that of a brick.
If you read any book anywhere near The Martian I would be shocked if you find this entertaining. It was quite frankly awful and I don't care what happens in book 3

not really a study in how to survive. But more a study of what it takes to survive. Very touching and moving stories. Flash's in time and location of the kind of people we would hope we would be when called upon

like his series books it's a great premise. But this book was too much like the novela that came after it. It only had one story to tell and I don't think he took enough time to tell it or went as far as he could have in telling it.
