I recall the thread that sparked this book. Well done Dash. Well done. Excellent story, but the reader /narrator was dreadful. She sounded like she was reading stereo instructions.

It is a very good, in depth look at the psychological foundation of Donald Trump. A lot about his pathology is explained. Though if you're looking for a book specifically about him, know that the first half of the book is more about his father and his older brother, Freddy. It's important to understanding who DJT is and why he is the way he is. In a way, I feel bad for him. He really never stood a chance at being a normal human being.

Mary Trump reads her own book and while hearing it in her voice, as it is from her perspective adds meaning and flavor to the narrative (you hear her voice crack occassionally and you know the emotion is real), you can tell she doesn't read for audio books for a living. It's ok Mary, the book was well done and I at least appreciated your telling the story.

The story engaged me from the start and I looked forward to Afrik's eventual triumph over her misogynistic corporate legal masters and her sister Cara's success as she navigated the boys club in her role as an officer of the gardae (sp-they're version of police). meanwhile, they'd join forces to save the obviously innocent (and handsome) young man from life in prison...but just you are settling in on the couch, cozy fire, cuppa tea in one hand, tasty biscuit in the other...BANG! The story's over and you feel cheated of really getting to know the characters. It feel like when you're craving something from the shop round the corner, the thing only they can provide; and you arrive but they're closed.

Dissappointed.

Sci fi fans and gamers will appreciate many of the references in this book. Perfect light reading for travel or while doing another task. Plenty of fun characters and each chapter is like a self contained episode. Adam Baldwin does a wonderful job of bringing all the characters to life.
