Filled my heart
Revisado: 09-13-23
This is a romance, but it's more about the pain that both of the main characters are in. Both have painful pasts involving family. Both are having trouble coping in life. They start off writing to each other anonymously and helping each other. They're basically therapy for each other. This is a clean romance. It isn't about sex. By the time I finished reading I felt so emotional. Like my heart felt full. This book ends in a great place. There is no cliffy or anything. Book 2 is about another character. I love him and will definitely read his story too.

I love Holly. I definitely recommend reading all the Bill Hodges books and other Holly Gibney books before reading this one. Also, the authors note at the end of this book clears some things up and needs to be read too. This one doesn't have the supernatural elements that some of the other books did, but it may be scarier. It seems like this could really happen and that most of us would be easy targets. Some parts are creepy and gross to think about. There are some things that some may not like. Holly isn't a Trump supporter and is pro vaccines and masking. She is trying to solve disappearances during the COVID outbreak, so she talks to all types, some with apposing and some with the same views as her. She has some internal monologue about some. Also, Holly has always been a bit of a germaphobe. When we first met her, she had very low self-esteem and lots of quirks. She's still herself, but it's great to see her running a business and doing so much. I really like her circle of friends too. The killers in this one are so creepy. I think they will stick with me for a long time.

I felt everything <3
Revisado: 08-14-23
Javier is from book one. He, Stef and Geno are the main characters, but this book is full of wonderful characters from all different ethnicities and ages. Javi starts as a high-end prostitute for women. He wants more from life, a real connection to someone. Javi and Stef are bisexual men. During the book they meet and fall in love. It is an epic beautiful romance. I loved them loving each other so much I could hardly stand it. It's wonderful to see Javi finally get what he deserves. Geno is brutally sexually assaulted. It's realistic and graphic. I cried several times during this book during the painful road to recovery. Stef is one of Geno's therapists. I fell hard for Stef. He is an AMAZING man. If all of us cared as much as he did, there would be no problems in the world. I can't even explain how special this book is. It's worth more than the rating I can give it. On a 0-to-5-star scale, I'd give it a 100. Not often can someone write something that goes to such dark places and handle it so gracefully. Some parts are tragic, but the final emotion of the book is that it's glorious. I had feels on top of feels. I had tears of empathy and tears for how moved I was by the beauty of some scenes. The three main characters are such wonderful men. They feel like real people and will stick with me for many years to come. Sometimes when it's the parts inside their heads, the writing almost seems poetic. There are so many stories within this book. Some of the side characters even come with huge emotional backstories of their own. Everyone kind of comes together to make a family. This is deep and moving, and I give it all the stars.

I love Lucas
Revisado: 08-04-23
I loved this book. I love the friendship between the main character and her best friend. I love seeing women stand up for themselves and each other. I love that the main character is such a great guy. He's so perfect. The male and female leads had some bad stuff happen to them. It made me feel emotional. They're easy people to like. Sometimes I don't care for one of the leads. It especially seems a thing sometimes to make annoying females, but these characters are great. There are bad guys and annoying girls, but they aren't the main characters, and they are done realistically. I loved all the feels. I like how Jacqueline sees her worth with Kennedy comes back around. Even though he isn't a completely terrible guy and they had so much history, she knows she deserves better. And I love Lucas. He's the perfect mix of used to be a sort of bad boy (but never too bad) turned prince. He's smart, sexy and beyond sweet. <3 Lucas <3

What took me so long to read this
Revisado: 05-26-23
I've had this book for years. Idk why I waited so long to read it. I loved it. The couple is great. I liked both the male and female leads and side characters. The plot was great. The humor, sexiness and emotional scenes were excellent. It's sweet and sexy, romcom, sports romance, second chance at romance, contemporary, adult. The leads are teachers. They are so great with the students too. I think that's one thing that makes this book so enjoyable for me. The leads are really good people. They're also witty and not boring at all.

Sam of Wilds faced the Dark wizard Myrin and lived to tell the tale. Granted, the battle left him scarred, but things could be a hell of a lot worse. It’s not until he reunites with Morgan of Shadows and Randall that he realizes just how much worse things could be. Because the scars have meaning and hint at Myrin’s true plans for Sam and the Kingdom of Verania. With time running out, Sam and his band of merry misfits must travel to the snowy mountains in the North and the heart of the Dark Woods to convince the remaining dragons to stand against Myrin.

Best Narrator
Revisado: 11-24-22
For some of this book it just felt like repeating what's happened so far. I mean I like the banter. That's what really caught me from the beginning of the series. But it seemed like just the same banter again. This being the 3rd book, I didn't enjoy that part as much. So I thought for awhile I wouldn't rate this one as good because it didn't seem like the overall storyline was advancing but the plot did get stronger further into this book. I liked the ending and plan to continue the series.

However, he does not want to be who he is. He does not enjoy hurting others, but there is no limit to the lengths he will go to protect himself and his brother. This is the story of how he came to be, and this is why so many love Mason Kade.

Necessary backstory
Revisado: 11-24-22
I read this after reading book one of the series. This book happened before the first book. It really helped me to understand some of the stuff the brothers did in book one. It made the reasons for Mason's hate for his dad and Sam's mom and the bond between the brothers so much more clear. It made me really like Mason even more and definitely makes me what to continue the series.

Mason and Logan Kade are two brothers who did their own thing. They were rich and expected to attend Samantha's school, Fallen Crest Academy. They chose public school, and now Samantha has to live with them. The problem is that she doesn't care at all - about them, about her friends, about her cheating boyfriend, or even about her parents' divorce. But maybe that's a good thing. Maybe change is a good thing.

finally read it!
Revisado: 11-24-22
I really got into this story. Like it was hard for me to go to sleep because I wanted to keep reading. There's a good bit of immature-soap-opera-ish-ness to the plot but for the most part I still enjoyed it. For the longest I could barely put the book down but lost that feeling for a bit around maybe 3/4 of the way. Some things were a little iffy but I mostly really liked Sam, Mason and Logan. It was easy to find them all cool and think the brothers are hot. I found the scene near the end with everyone in the motel pretty funny. I definitely plan to continue the series.

Historia
While Uhtred might have regained his family’s fortress, it seems a peaceful life is not to be - as he is under threat from both an old enemy and a new foe. The old enemy comes from Wessex, where a dynastic struggle will determine who will be the next king. And the new foe is Sköll, a Norseman, whose ambition is to be king of Northumbria and who leads a frightening army of wolf-warriors, men who fight half-crazed in the belief they are indeed wolves. Uhtred, believing he is cursed, must fend off one enemy while he tries to destroy the other.

love this series
Revisado: 11-24-22
I had taken a break from this series for awhile but this book reminded me how much I love Uhtred. I started reading the books because I love the show so much. I still love the show but the older narrator version of Uhtred in the books has certainly grown on me too. The changes in this book from how the show storyline was going are interesting. Also much of this book didn't actually happen in the show. I love how the books really doing a great job of explaining battle scenes. It's exciting. The book before this one in the series wasn't as good as many of the others but this one was wonderful for me.

He realizes with dread that he is part of a recent epidemic of men suddenly and inexplicably becoming pregnant. His condition obvious to the higher-ups, James is denied the promotion he was expecting, sending him reeling.

Nice story. It's short but well-written & interesting. I think it could have been a full-length book but the author made it short because it has a message- What if men were the ones that got pregnant?
