Dilvish the Damned is a collection of the original Dilvish short stories published across several fantasy magazines. The stories, in a rough arc, follow our hero who, escaping imprisonment from the hell to which he was banished by a sorcerous enemy, seeks to revenge himself on his jailer. He is accompanied by a devilish familiar who takes the form of a steel horse. This collection is followed by a regular novel, The Changing Land. The narration by Eric Michael Summerer is excellent.

The writing is reminiscent of Jack Vance, but captures Zelazny's sense of whimsy. What sets these stories apart is the narrative technique. While the stories are told simply, Zelazny is able to sketch multiple characters who are each the center of their own adventure, and who pass through Dilvish's adventures like ships in the night.

As a huge Zelazny fan, I'm happy to see his work slowly coming out on Audible!

Prefiguring elements of the better-known Amber series, this imaginative tale of a traveler on a highway that stretches through time at the center of a road system that maps to probabilistic alternate histories is a classic. The narrator is excellent.

Legends of the Dragonrealm is an excellent entry in the long-running Dragonrealm chronicles. More than that, this is the first of the series to be available on Audible, and Joshua Saxon is an excellent narrator. I can only hope that the back catalog of the Dragonrealm is about to make it to Audible.

There are few authors who have the ability to pull off J.R.R. Tolkien's advice to write a children's book for an adult audience, but Andrew Seiple succeeds on all counts with this series. He is greatly aided by choosing Podium Publishing, my go-to audio producer for all things fantasy.

This story of a sentient teddy bear reads like Lemony Snicket writing in the Hundred Acre Wood, with his plush toy friends recruited from Fractured Fairy Tales.

I fell in love with LitRPG back in the 1980's after picking up Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame series, and I know how difficult it is to locate quality work in this genre, but this is the real deal so if you love LitRPG you're in for a treat.

Terry Mancour is one of those fantasy/SF authors thoroughly beloved by a cult following but ultimately doomed to obscurity by the volume of background noise generated by our civilization.

I’d tell you that the Spellmonger series is a unique blend of character-driven plot lines coupled with excellent world building, but how helpful is that, really?

I'd tell you that if you loved Hugh Cook's 'The Walrus and The Warwolf', you'll love ‘Spellmonger’, or that Terry’s done more for the Boy Scouts than anyone since F.M. Crum wrote ‘With Riflemen, Scouts, and Snipers’, but that just circles us back to civilization’s static noise problem.

I will tell you that the combination of Terry’s writing and the Audible production by Podium Publishing's John Lee is outstanding, and that if you don’t like it Audible allows you to return it, so get it now and let Terry inspire you the way Philip Jose Farmer’s short SF story, ‘Night of Light’, inspired Jimi Hendrix to compose ‘Purple Haze’.
