Historia
Jayne Frost is a winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus's niece, heir to the Winter Throne, and now private investigator. Needing someone he can trust, her father sends her to Nocturne Falls to find out why employees at a toy store are going missing. Doing that requires getting to know the town, which leads to interesting encounters with a sexy vampire, an old flame, and an elevator that's strictly off-limits. The more Jayne finds out, the more questions she has, but the answers lead her deeper into danger.

Hard to listen.
Revisado: 10-31-20
I hung in until about halfway through. I think I would like this book/series if I read the hard copy. The narration was really hard to listen to. It sounded like an amateur and the voices were fake sounding. Like when I read to my kids at bedtime. I really wanted to like it but I couldn’t listen anymore.

Historia
Hen and her husband, Lloyd, have settled into a quiet life in a new house outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Hen (short for Henrietta) is an illustrator and works out of a studio nearby and has found the right meds to control her bipolar disorder. Finally, she’s found some stability and peace. But when they meet the neighbors next door, that calm begins to erode as she spots a familiar object displayed on the husband’s office shelf. The sports trophy looks exactly like one that went missing from the home of a young man who was killed two years ago.

I really wanted to love it.
Revisado: 01-18-20
I have a feeling that because of the volume of books in this genre, I find one is just like the next. it's not a bad book but predictable.

Historia
For Detective Sam Porter, the words "Father, forgive me" conjure memories long forgotten; a past intentionally buried. For Anson Bishop, these three words connect a childhood to the present as he unleashes a truth concealed for decades. Found written on cardboard near each body, these words link multiple victims to a single killer - discovered within minutes of each other in both Chicago and South Carolina - clearly connected yet separated by impossible miles.

What if all that stood between us and hell was a match? An ordinary couple stand accused of a heinous crime. They're the last people you'd expect to save the world. Are they criminals, heroes, or completely insane? Or maybe all three? Inspired by true-life headlines, revealed in Susan May's fascinating postscript From the Imagination Vault, Behind the Fire is an engrossing novelette of the random appearances of frightening black things, and one couple's battle to protect their town from these dangerous and hellish creatures.

Interesting
Revisado: 10-13-19
The story itself is unique and interesting. I was disappointed in the end. There was no closure. Also I felt the main character was not very bright. Wouldn’t a normal person check out the listings that were crossed off already? Overall I felt it was a good start for a new novel.

Historia
This was not the first-time that rookie cop Michael Chambers had found himself stuck in this broken-down police vehicle while the rain bucketed down outside. In fact, this kind of "bad luck" had happened almost every time he’d been assigned car 291. Usually, he’d get a flat, or the locks would jam, or the damned on-board computer would freeze. 291, though, had a bloody and tragic history, which might explain why this piece of metallic crap seemed so intent on driving him crazy - excuse the pun.

paranoid anyone?
Revisado: 10-10-19
I really enjoyed this little story. I hated the character in the way I believe was intended. A whiny narcissistic man who Steve Marvel brings to life. I would recommend for a short story. Maybe we could get more to go with this one?

Lost Hollow constable Graham Gordon just walked into his abandoned childhood home for the first time in 20 years. Now, thanks to a rickety set of cellar stairs and the hateful spirit of his dead father, he might never escape.

Unique take on the old ghost/paranormal story!
Revisado: 09-27-19
I really enjoyed this story for its twist on the typical ghost stories. There is some awful racism in this book, but if taken in context of the character using such ugly words it fits. It shows how it can be overcome in a new generation. It made me angry that these attitudes are still a part of today's society. I would recommend this book as it kept my interest throughout. The narration was spot on as well.

Historia
When 17-year-old Imorean Frayneson receives a scholarship to Gracepointe University in Norway, he’s a bit surprised: He didn’t even remember applying. When he arrives, he notices odd things: gates that lock at night, staff members who refuse to give straight answers, and most disturbing of all, a spectral creature that seems to be haunting him. Before long, Imorean finds himself caught up in a sinister plan - one created 17 years ago - that threatens to destroy the life he knew and expose the secret truth of who he really is.

Personally I didnt care for the ending. I would really like to hear more about the other characters and their backgrounds. I understand cliffhangers but this was a big one. cant wait for the next book.
narration was ok. There were several lines repeated twice and some mouth noises. Otherwise it was good.
All together it is a great, unique plot and worth the time!

Unique twist on an apocalypse/pandemic
Revisado: 09-05-19
I really enjoyed the thought that was put into this work. It
leaves you to ponder what if this really happened? Can society ever truly be at peace with ourselves and nations across the globe? I feel like I'm not articulating very well the dilemmas that could come from an event such as this. Which way is best? I don't think anyone is qualified to make that big of decision alone. I would recommend this book to anyone.
