This is the only book that I have that actually accurately expresses what it's like to be a deaf person in a hearing world. I can't wait to get another book by this author. The story is full of emotion. I laughed & also teared up. I recommend this book for anyone that truly wants to understand what it's like to have hearing loss in this world.

one of the weakest main characters

This book would have been so much better if Iris was a likable character. The only emotions she had was self doubt, insecurities & weakness. I understand that she went through a tragedy 3 years ago, that was so misleading in this book. Iris spent this whole book needing to be loved by a man instead of trying to love herself. Then when she found out the twist in the book she wanted to blame someone else instead of the reason for the tragedy. This book is depressing. This is not really a love story it's a book about a very intelligent (career wise) woman that is so full of insecurities that she is no one if she doesn't have a man to make her feel like she's worth something. She needs therapy or some form of actual self love. Heaven forbid if her new relationship gets bumpy. SHE WILL FALL APART and need another man to fix her again.

This is not romance. This is not dark romance. This is a paranormal all over the place book. This was a waste of time, credit/money. There is no pen pal love, how this got 5 star reviews in the romance section is a mystery!!!!!

The "I know he said he hates me, wants to kill me, can kill me but he's so darn cute" type of female main character is definitely NOT my style. I kept hoping that she would get some backbone & at least make him work for it but no. His mean, controlling degrading, muscled self was too much to have a tad of self dignity for. She was warned by almost everyone in this book but her feet move on their on towards the hot body. The idea of this book was intriguing, it started out interesting. There are some interesting parts & characters that I actually do like. Dove is just not my thing. The way she kept putting herself in situations to be mistreated by king was unbelievable so of course he kept doing it & rinse/repeat.

Down Comes the Night!!!

I took a chance and used a credit for this audible book. I do not regret it. Narrator did a wonderful job. I was fully engaged from beginning to end. I will definitely purchase future books from this Author. Bravo Allison Saft I'm a new fan.

Sweet Obsession

The female narrator in this book took too much away from the story it was not enjoyable at all. The story was pretty good. The main female character was a weed smoker, I'm not opposed to that but it added nothing to the story and made her seem even more lost. I am looking forward to hearing about Darby & Avery.
