Historia
Not since the atomic bomb has a technology so alarmed its inventors that they warned the world about its use. Not, that is, until the spring of 2015, when biologist Jennifer Doudna called for a worldwide moratorium on the use of the new gene-editing tool CRISPR - a revolutionary new technology that she helped create - to make heritable changes in human embryos.

Historia
Americans have built an empire on the idea of “race”, a falsehood that damages us all but falls most heavily on the bodies of Black women and men - bodies exploited through slavery and segregation and, today, threatened, locked up, and murdered out of all proportion. What is it like to inhabit a Black body and find a way to live within it? And how can we all honestly reckon with this fraught history and free ourselves from its burden? Between the World and Me is Ta-Nehisi Coates’ attempt to answer these questions in a letter to his adolescent son.

Black in America
Revisado: 01-05-21
Unfortunately it expressed much of what black Americans experienced these days. He wrote it beautifully, but the facts remain.

Perhaps you are sitting in cash, scared to get back into the stock market. But you are also unwilling to lock up your money in a CD that pays next to nothing. Covered calls are a great way to slowly ease back into the market, while starting to generate some income. This conservative strategy is also often used by buy-and-hold investors to generate extra income from stocks in their long-term holdings. Even if you know nothing at all about trading options, this guide will quickly bring you up to speed.

Historia
In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power—the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.

Truly loved this book
Revisado: 04-09-19
Not my usual type of fictional read. In fact I've never read or had any interest in this type or story. That said, Wow what a good time. I couldn't turn it off. Madeline Miller had me truly feeling like i was there, like i could see Circe and her tribulations. Perdita Weeks performance was perfection. I sat in my car after the book finished for 10min reflecting on good it was.
