What a shame.
Revisado: 05-21-22
Mr Corey had done something great, to start. He wrote a story that was worth reading. I am not saying kept his personal politics out of it. Just that he'd not let them get in the way of a good story.
Sadly, it looks like he's run out of good stories, and has fallen back on publishing his gibbering monkey with story clothes. Trying to cash grab on name, not a good yarn. Sad when this happens.

Historia
After the War of the Gods, the demons were cast out and fell to the world. Mankind was nearly eradicated by the seemingly unstoppable beasts until the gods sent the great hero, Ramrowan, to save them. He united the tribes, gave them magic, and drove the demons into the sea. Ever since, the land has belonged to man, and the oceans have remained an uncrossable hell, leaving the continent of Lok isolated.

Wow. Dude wrote another great story. Deep world building. Deep and complex characters. I am afraid I'll have to read the rest now.
Author did good and bad. Good use of dialects to indicate caste. Horrific pronunciation.

Historia
The Last Stand of Fox Company is a fast-paced and gripping account of heroism and self-sacrifice in the face of impossible odds. The authors have conducted dozens of firsthand interviews with the battle's survivors, and they narrate the story with the immediacy of such classic accounts of single battles as Guadalcanal Diary, Pork Chop Hill, and Black Hawk Down.

I love my little Marine brothers. These men, and their story remind me why my one great regret in life, was not earning the title Marine.

Developing video games—hero's journey or fool's errand? The creative and technical logistics that go into building today's hottest games can be more harrowing and complex than the games themselves, often seeming like an endless maze or a bottomless abyss. In Blood, Sweat, and Pixels, Jason Schreier takes listeners on a fascinating odyssey behind the scenes of video game development, where the creator may be a team of 600 overworked underdogs or a solitary geek genius.

If the fallen civilization of the Ringworld can no longer be despoiled of its secrets, the puppeteers will be forced to surrender theirs - everyone knows that they are cowards. Great story telling. World building is... what.
Revisado: 09-11-20
The author writes a yarn that will enthrall and titillate. I have cared enough about these characters to want to hear the whole story. But, I had to go back and reestablish what had gone before, because I could feel the fabric all bunched and caught. The author clear chose to change the story to fit new stories in, rather than dealing with the world as it was.
