The author immerses the reader immediately into his world. The detailed immersion is never mundane or monotonous, as some would say. However, it is the memoir, and as such, many common readers do not like memoirs. It is an intriguing story, well-written, and profound. It is sad and happy, and troublesome, but always the reader can feel as if he or she were on the journey all along. The journey the author takes on the road to his new life is real and immediate. You are invited to journey along. Enjoy the trip! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is a very hot book that also had a story to follow. The main characters, Kaylee and Alexis, are great for each other. From the beginning, there is a bond between the two of them, and it's only getting stronger when Alexis gives Kaylee her trust completely. If you're not afraid of sexual adventure, this is the book to read, so steamy you can feel Alexis and Kaylee's chemistry come off the page! I will definitely be listening to more of these! Wow, what a story! Amazing that Joe Townsend survived through the things that happened to him—enough to make you think it's better to close your eyes and die. It makes you wonder what you would do if you were in his place. This is a great story of survival, grief, trial, and spirituality. A great read for anyone needing a refresher on what's important in life. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Frightening that this was all true. Some fascinating history as well. Most fiction novels can't hold a candle to the drama that unfolds in this book. The narrator was awesome—such a calm easy manner of relating a disturbing story. I relished every minute of it. If self-publishing is your choice, this is a good listen. Sure there are plenty of gurus out there and no disrespect to them, nor do I want to idolize Richard (he's clearly trying to sell his services), but I had fun listening to this book, gained insights along the way, and only in two hours. A beautiful story about life and love, and how everything you do in both ricochets through the world around you. Samantha and Reilly certainly had no idea that one day their paths would cross again, and yet to see them come together seems such a right of passage in both their lives. If you like stories about second chances on a missed love with a small town setting, you will like this book. The perfect brain candy book

A Certain Hunger was the literary equivalent to a car wreck on the side of the highway: you know it's grisly stuff, but you can't pry yourself away from it. Dorothy Daniels is deliciously heinous: like Dostoevsky's Raskolnikov but without the fevered conscience, like Camus's Meursault but with a taste for more victims than a couple of Arabs, like Süskind's Grenouille but leading a life of decadence, instead of seeking the innocence not-yet-lost. At times, you will be repulsed and yet, sympathize with the protagonist.
This book is well-written and well-narrated, made you see, feel, understand, and taste the innermost emotions and thoughts of a psychopath. The very implausibility of it makes it a compelling read and takes one into a world where the sense of taste overrides any moral code. I'd say it must be one of the weirdest books I have ever read, but I enjoyed it immensely.

Just got turned on to this book series, thanks to the Audiobook Boom. I devoured the story in just a couple days, a rarity for me. I have to admit that I'm hooked. I enjoyed the ride immensely. The characters leapt off the page and I was swept away with the lead character, David John Slaughter, Navy veteran. The ending was a bit predictable, but on the whole not bad. All in all, it is a very enjoyable book. I will definitely continue on with the series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Finally! A lesbian novel that is sexy, well written, and real literature. There is so much trash in the lesbian genre. This book rises above a simple sexual romance and rises above an in-your-face expose of the hardships of being a lesbian. At the same time, it includes both of these. You won't be disappointed! A good reference, but Wolf's writing style is very dry. I don't recommend trying to listen to this for leisure or in one straight shot unless you like being thrown a barrage of facts. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
