Book promotes a shame culture

On the surface this may seem like good advice, but it just drives more shaming expectations deeper. It fails to validate the feelings of being “not good enough” and effectively address how to be confident in your authentic self. We cannot just make up our minds to do something and ignore the real emotions that result from traumatic experiences. It is a long healing process. Yes, hard work, grace and the other “decisions” described in the book are good principles, but they are not they cannot guarantee worldly success. Nor do belonging, contentment and emotional, spiritual and relational success depend on disciplines. We cannot control every aspect of our world.
I do not recommend this book.

Although this was a good story, is a little slower with less action than the previous books in the series. Found myself getting a little bored. In the end it was still a good read.

Very dissapointed with recording

This was a great John Grisham story. I was disappointed however in the recording quality. It was obvious this was ripped from CDs. Periodically it would tell me to change CDs. And if the "change disk" language was edited out, there was still a sentence or two that was repeated. I found this distracting.
