This book is his greatest work!
Revisado: 02-13-22
This book is what happens when you’re walking in your purpose and you reflect on a life that’s full of ups and downs. Highs and lows. The unapologetic authenticity of this book is wonderful. Reading this book just wouldn’t be the same without all the voices Will makes throughout his reading. Incredible book and think Mr Smith for sharing your life.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

I love it!

I love the production of this book through audible. I’m a little spoiled now because this was my first Audible and I enjoyed it so much. Excellent content, interesting perspectives and I love the data driven approach to drawing conclusions on untraditional topics. Tremendous book!

Historia
In this groundbreaking history of the modern American metropolis, Richard Rothstein explodes the myth that America's cities came to be racially divided through de facto segregation - that is, through individual prejudices, income differences, or the actions of private institutions like banks and real estate agencies. Rather, he incontrovertibly makes clear that it was de jure segregation - the laws and policy decisions passed by local, state, and federal governments - that actually promoted the discriminatory patterns that continue to this day.

Incredible info yet heart-breaking too
Revisado: 11-13-19
I’m extremely passionate about African-American history in this country and the details and examples displayed in this book was so fascinating yet extremely sad to hear. Richard Rothstein gives example after example of how public policy has shaped the racial divide when it comes to housing in America. He breaks it down piece by piece. This book is soooo powerful and informative. I’ve recommended this book to all my family members and close friends. This should be required reading in HS and colleges. Thank you for this amazing work of detailing a forgotten piece of American history.
