Historia
My whole life I’ve had the pressure of being Marcus Talon and Shane Miller’s football prodigy. I’ve been destined to follow in my NFL-playing fathers’ footsteps since the day I was born. I usually thrive under pressure, but as senior year looms, it all gets too much, and I need an outlet. The last place I thought I’d find my release is at Levi Vanderbilt’s graduation party. In his bed. With him.

Just ok
Revisado: 04-30-25
Loved the narrators and enjoyed the cameos from past couples. However, I feel like the relationship between the two protagonists wasn't developed enough or something. I generally love Eden Finley's stories and while I didn't hate this one, it just wasn't my favorite. I feel like there was too much telling that this was a relationship and not enough showing. Idk, it was fine but it was one I ended up speeding up in order to just get it finished.

My boss is a walking red flag. He's bolshy and rude. Impossible to please. A big, broody man with dark eyes that carry an unmistakable message—"I am not manageable." Seriously, he's the worst. If it's not bad enough that he's a nightmare in the office, he's all but ordering me to be his date to his son's wedding. He says it's called "winning a divorce." I try telling him that's not a real thing but it falls on deaf ears. Not only that, he appears to be in the throes of a major personal awakening and is determined that I'm the man to guide him through it.

Another delightful story
Revisado: 03-09-25
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I wish it would have addressed something said in the first book on why Marshall thought his dad was cheating on his mom. I think that would have helped a little because if your kid thinks you're cheating, that needs to be addressed. I think one of the narrators is reading the wrong genre. He's not bad exactly, but he's doing way too much for romance and it's wierd. He should stick with like science fiction or fantasy and I bet he'd shine. With romance it's just way too much. Still, enjoyable and worth the credit.

As if my life doesn't suck enough already, my insufferable new roommate, Miller MacAvoy, seems determined to make things weird. He watches me all the time, grinning at me like a beautiful idiot, eyes boring holes into me every time I turn my back on him. It's the last thing I need. Things haven't been going well. College isn't working out at all like I'd hoped. I'm drowning in debt, waiting tables every shift I can get, and falling behind on my studies. Something's got to give. I can't go on like this much longer.

Really freaking good
Revisado: 03-08-25
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. One of the narrators wasn't my favorite in the world but I've heard worse and he wasn't irritating enough to make me switch to the ebook so there's that. The story was interesting and didn't go the whole angst for the sake of angst route which with this story line would have been pretty easy to do. It also made me laugh a few times which I always like in a book. Worth the credit and will likely listen to it again someday.

Historia
Sometimes things happen that test our resilience and our strength. My life was changed forever one fateful night last year when I lost my leg in an accident. It’s affected my independence and my confidence. But there is one thing—one person—that hasn’t changed, hasn’t wavered when life gets hard. Finn Ledger. He’s been my best friend since the moment we met in middle school. We’re grown now, with separate lives, but he still always manages to be there for me when I need him, even when circumstances try to wrench us apart. He always holds me when I need it and cares for me like no one else can.

What was with the random weirdness at the end..
Revisado: 04-07-24
I generally liked the book... it's not the best thing in the world but it's light and made me laugh... and then out of the blue, like 30 min from the end the author throws in some completely unnecessary drama. I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone but it just felt forced and dramatic for the sake of drama. I'm all for a little drama but what was the point... and Finn's way of dealing with it was just plan dumb... I actually kept laughing at it because it was so stupid and unrealistic.. she should have just concluded it at 7 hrs and left the whole last half hour off.. sooooo dumb!

Historia
Cutthroat political consultant Thom Morgan is thriving, working on the governor of California’s presidential campaign. If only he didn’t have to deal with Clay Parker, the infuriatingly smug data analyst who gets under Thom’s skin like it’s his job. In the midst of one of their heated and very public arguments, a journalist snaps a photo, but the image makes it look like they’re kissing. As if that weren’t already worst-nightmare territory, the photo goes viral—and in a bid to secure the liberal vote, the governor asks them to lean into it. Hard.

Revisado: 07-08-22
When I first started listening, I was like, why would anyone write a book with such unlikable protagonists!!?? But, I persevered and I'm so glad I did!!! This was adorable and sweet and just all around delightful! So if you're on the fence, push through the deuchiness of both main characters in the first few chapters and just know you are going to fall in love with them as it continues!

The SPANISH
Revisado: 06-05-22
Oh my! I can't even tell you if the story was good or not because the narrator did such a horrible job. I usually like Michael Dean but oh lord, I had to stop listening after he said, "Como se llama" and pronounced it llama like the animal and not yama. And he said akwee, instead of aquí. And I just couldn't. Even his southern accent was bad. I don't know. Maybe the story is good but Michael Dean failed here. However, don't write off books if he is the narrator. He usually is quite good but, wow, just wow. This was awful.
Get the Kindle book instead and give that a go. Don't subject yourself to this absolute pathetic attempt at narration.

Historia
Take a man and strip him of his ability to feel compassion, empathy, remorse, or any of the emotions that make him human, but leave the ones that ignite rage and aggression and you have the perfect killing machine - now imagine two of them. Code names Ex and Meridian are synonymous for "guaranteed death" to international terrorists. Two broken men from the same crooked streets, recruited into an unsanctioned government program that few know about. Trained to operate most efficiently - lethally - together.

Issues with some of her books but not this one
Revisado: 01-14-22
I loved Ex and Meridian. They are awesome and I'd read ten more books about them. I don't know why I keep listening to A.E Via's books because more often then not the way women are portrayed in them is rather misogynistic and also she always seems to try and slot the men into heteronormative roles.. no matter how often she goes on about the men both being big and bad. She always puts one in a more "feminine" role. However, with this couple, she didn't and that's what made this book so good. If she wrote all her couples more equal like this she'd be one of my top authors. As it is, I mostly listen because Day makes me laugh and I gotta say, the sex scenes are super steamy.

Hot sex but a lot of internalized misogyny
Revisado: 01-09-22
Let's be honest, no one comes to this type of book expecting award winning writing. We come for entertainment and maybe some hot gay sex. And this series delivers. The sex is steamy and the books generally have enough of a plot to hold the reader's attention. The narrator does a phenomenol job and has a great voice.
The main issue with these books is the portrayal and treatment of women. I honestly thought these books were written by a man and was shocked to discover a woman wrote them. The second book in particular treats a group of vigilante type women in a distasteful way. The women in that group had all been victimized in some way and the police, the supposed "good guys" were so disrespectful of them. Obviously these women were going about trying to protect themselves and others in a way that broke the law. However, the police sure could have treated them with a bit more compassion. And the idea that that group would team up with an abuser was absolutely ludicrous. The author either writes women as universally into the male protagonists or as special because they are "different" than other girls. If you can get past the blatant misogyny and toxic masculinity, the writing is otherwise decent, the sex is hot, and there is enough humor in places to get you through. If you're bored and into lots of sex, buy the series. Just be aware that these books portrayal of women is rather insulting and patently false.

Peter is the worst
Revisado: 12-12-21
I like Sylvia's stories. They are hot and usually pretty good. The main couples usually seem to fit and they are flawed but still likable. That is not the case in this story. Peter is whiny and stupid and just so annoying. I mean, every time it was his point of view I was like, shut up Peter! I mean, the storyline is good, Lucien is pretty cool, and the sex is hot. But seriously Peter is one of the most annoying characters I've ever had the misfortune to run across. Lucien should just dump him and find someone less irritating.

They say joining the Army changes a man...too bad Chris never got the memo. Sure, his battle-sculpted body and brooding blue eyes are hotter than asphalt in summer, but he's still every bit the jerk he was before leaving their small town for the military years ago. Pompous. Arrogant. Cocky as hell...and constantly on Warren’s mind. It should be easy to ignore him. Straight single dads aren't worth pining over, and straight a--holes even less.
