Historia
There’s a lot I’ve never told my best friend. The fact that I love him. That I miss him every day he’s gone. That, sometimes, I ache for him with a ferocity that leaves me breathless. Lucky Buchanan tore into my life as a boy, wild and daring, my opposite in every way. He drew me in, stole my heart without trying. He hears me, even though I rarely speak a word. But I always knew this place wouldn’t be enough for my free-spirited friend. I knew he wasn’t mine to keep.

Historia
As Marines, Cal and Jim depended on each other to survive bloodshed and despair in the Pacific. Relieved to put the horrors of war behind him, Jim went home to his apple orchard and a quiet life with his wife and children. Knowing Jim could never return his forbidden feelings, Cal hoped time and an ocean between them would dull the yearning for his best friend.

very sweet and savory!
Revisado: 11-02-23
I’ve been eyeing this romance for a bit and finally told myself to listen to it and good golly it’s so good. There’s just something about the friends to lovers trope that hits the spot.
I really liked the pacing and the fact that the horrors of war weren’t sugarcoated. I also enjoyed the flashbacks who h normally aren’t something I like but they really added to the story!
