There is some great advice in this book. Posture and how you carry yourself is importante to how people will perceive you. Your attitude and positivity is important as well. I love the idea of taking notes about stuff you learned about people. But there were a few bits of advice I saw a disingenuous.
Firstly, the big smile saved for the important people. Absolutely people will recognize if they get a bigger smile. But so will the people who you gave the smaller smile to. And suddenly to them you showed them they are less important.
Second, learning about someone’s expertise. Although this can be a great icebreaker, if you do something once and then try to use the lingo with an expert, it will only take one question for you to get outed as a poser. It is better to be genuine, humble and admit you are new to it, but are wanting to learn about it. If you try to pretend you are likely to be outed.
There seems to be a bit more deception in this book than I liked. I’m not trying to trick people into talking to me, or to pretend to be something I am not. So that rubbed me the wrong way a bit. Good read, frustrated with the deception

I would love to understand what the catapult systems is. But the talk about it was so short, and directed you to a couple different websites. He boasted early about his ability to explain it, but never really explained it. The first half of the book is testimonials, and boasting about how successful this system is. Then a good portion of the back half is about open minded coaching. I agree with a lot of what he says about the coaching, but that wasnt why I bought this book.

This is great for coaches who may not be getting the best out of their players. Being able to tie their theories and factual research and quotes from professional athletes helps you understand that the mental aspect is just as important as the physical aspect of the game.

The reading itself is a bit dry and can be easy to mind wander.

This book can be dry, but gives very good advise on how to be more charismatic. It is practical, and fun to put some of the ideas into action.

I was excited to see that audible had a book about imposter syndrome, even if it the title hinted at a specific target audience. Young knows the book is meant for women, but hints toward it being helpful for men as well. There are some helpful tips and stories that help. But young has a very strong pro women agenda. Much of the book is about men versus women, not people with imposter syndrome versus people without. Phrases like “the out and out confidence of the ignorant is gendered.” “Men’s unsupported confidence.” “Don’t let male hyperconfidence let you miss out on imposter busting.”
I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable at times, like this is not meant for me. Much of what is said is true, but is generalized off of majority statistics. Women do this and men do this. So I really like parts of the book, but the degree of feminism is prevalent in this book. Not a bad book. But the bias is strong

This is a great reminder of what we really should care about it. One of the great takeaways is that not everything is your fault, because we all have problems caused by us or others. It is our responsibility to how we react to those problems. Very well put together and I will likely listen again.
Narration was engaging, and interesting. Very highly recommended.
