It had potential; male narrator was terrible

The male narrator's voice was so awful, I almost couldn't finish this short story. His attempt to sound "dark and menacing" was ridiculous. The femal narrator was fabulous, though. There was plenty of spice, and it was dark (which is fine), but there wasn't a whole lot of substance to the plot. I actually think that if it had been a full-length novel, with more character development and more elaboration, it could have been a great book.

Where's the connection?

I love Willow's books, but this one missed the mark for me. There was no connection between the main characters. I loved Declan in the other books, but he's an awful person in these. I just couldn't find any redeeming qualities in him. He was cruel without reason. The BDSM doesn't bother me except there was no care given by him, nor respect. It almost feels like there are parts missing to explain why she cared for him.

Female narrator and a meh story

I love Sebastian but I almost couldn't finish this book because of the female narrator. And the story wasn't strong enough to make up for it. I was very disappointed

Best book in Ages!

This is the 1st time I've been tempted to review an audio book. But this is the best book I've read/listened to in a very long time. It has a little of everything. Worth the credit!

The 2nd book in this duet concludes Shae and Baz's love story. Ups and downs of a beautiful love. This book has more substance than a lot of my audible guilty pleasure romances, but I loved it.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise.

I took a chance on this book and I loved it. I think others should give it a try so I'm writing my 1st review bc there was only 1 written when I bought it.

I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series as well as more from this author. I enjoyed the narration style which was a bit different than other male/female duos. The heroine was a strong, smart and sexy girl with a ton of wry humor. None of that "wallflower-steamrolled-by-the dominant millionaire/biker/rocker guy."

It's a story about redemption and the difficult road to it. It's a love story, but it's gritty and raw and real. And touches of humor as well. It's a well-rounded assortment of emotions
