Whibley was raised by a single mom and their small family constantly moved from place to place, so he was used to being the new kid, starting fights (or finishing them), and connecting with people who shared his sensibility for chaotic fun and loud music. Sum 41 was born of a group of friends who loved to jam, shared a DIY ethos, and were determined to be rock stars one day.

A fan of the band but hard to listen to

Overall being able to learn about one of the greatest bands and how the heart of them came to be was very interesting and satisfying however it’s hard to have been a fan of someone like Anthony for so long and hear him talk about his hook ups with young girls…

Short but sweet

I enjoyed the mantras and explanation on how to do so many in a day, I think one is missing from chapter 34 it does not give the mantra after he explains what it’s for it just proceeds to the next chapter.

I bought this book from a recommendation and I’m sooooo happy I did because at first I thought I didn’t need to dive into folklore but this book made it fun and so knowledgeable, I have such a new appreciation for folklore and the imagery this book painted in my mind. It feels like a reawakening inside me happened while listening to it. I appreciate the journey this book took me through.
