Grateful that I did not waste a credit on this book. I believe that the author had a had a good story line foundation, that she was not able to bring together. The narrator should only narrate for the hearing impaired or better yet not at all. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Reading some of the reviews I almost bypassed this book, so glad that I didn't. Decent read in my opinion. The message of what some women will do and accept for the sake of what they deem to be love; or just to appear to have a man, was loud and clear.

Unable to Get Past Narrator's Voice

I really wanted to listen/read this story, after struggling through 1 1/2 chapters I could not take anymore. Authors should really listen/interview the narrators before allowing them to narrate their work, I am convinced that if they did they would lose less money and get more favorable reviews. Thankfully I did waste a credit or money on this book.

John Grisham being my favorite author, I can not believe that I am only getting around to reading this book; sitting in my library for several months pre-ordered several months before that. I enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed all of Grisham's work. I still dislike Carla as the character/person portrayed here and previous books.
