I am 65 years old and was captivated by this amazing story that took place during my youth. Fascinating—and a true story. Well told by the author, and I especially enjoyed the narrator’s telling.

Good review of the facts and issues surrounding global warming, etc. There are good non-alarmist solutions out there.

The allegations in this book were so profound and often shocking to me that I wasn’t quite sure what to think. But I’m very grateful to the author for making this effort. I knew there were things I instinctively didn’t like about Trump, and now I understand why.

The author is obviously intelligent and gives some informed, compelling discussion about his predictions for the future of the USA. I found the book interesting but unfortunately I think some of the author’s predictions are unlikely or unrealistic. He predicts class warfare between old and young and those who have privileged economic wealth and opportunity vs those who do not. But to anyone that understands what’s going on in our country, and its aging population, this is nothing new. The one prediction I think is unlikely, even ridiculous, is the assertion that Ivy League higher education will somehow face pressure to admit more students from the lower economic classes in the name of equal opportunity. The author asserts that the Ivy League admits only those who will fit into the privileged upper class. I think it is unlikely that these schools will relent from current practices in any material way, because the school itself benefits from the high tuition they are able to charge. If they accept more students from the rank and file, their status will be eroded and they won’t be able to charge as much money. I don’t see them ever allowing this to happen. The narrator is a bit sleepy but adequate. Worth a listen, but restates the obvious to anyone with a good general understanding of our economy and demographics, in an unnecessarily overly-technical way.

The author is a knowledgeable expert on the subject, offers solutions & recommendations that are thoughtful but unrealistic. Good luck getting congress to agree to implement sweeping controls over pandemic public behaviors, etc. The advice on how to keep yourself safe is good. Revelations on the Trump administration’s mishandling of the pandemic are shocking. The book takes you through a detailed diary of the pandemic, sometimes too tedious & repetitive.
