Okay I’ll edit this if my mind changes….but both the male and female lead got so f@(king stupid it’s absolutely insane!!!!! Him….oh let me hide the wound from you that you could just heal. Her….the most clueless of dumb people to of ever walked the earth!!! And even after she finds out….oh, let’s just leave and go to lumnos where no human healer or otherwise has ever healed a godstone wound. Hmmmmm instead of perhaps….TRYING TO JUST HEAL HIM YOURSELF!!! I was totally wrapped up in the first 2 books and I gave 5 stars. But this is just so painful!!!

This book is INCREDIBLY long winded and has SOOOO much liberal political propaganda that I could hardly get through it. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with most of the political views represented in this book but, I don’t purchase fantasy books to be inundated with the author’s opinions told over and over in every possible obvious way. To a degree, this seems to be a more and more prevalent theme in fantasy novels as a whole. However, I just want a good story that flows naturally. It is possible to deliver that kind of book with liberal elements naturally developing in a story without preaching to your readers. This could have been a good book if it was half the length and had been published w/in 5 years of the first book.

WAAAAAAAY to many political agendas bog down a story that could be oh so much better than it is….. this is basically an indoctrination into someone else’s beliefs. Not necessarily wrong beliefs but to the impressionable YA reader this is too much. Children should be able to learn by real life experiences not someone trying to “waterboard” them

The ending felt painfully drawn out. Just not enough substance. And I understand the genre is what it is but this is not on par with typical quality for the author.

This book was entertaining for sure! I’m not normally good at riddles, but Riddle to get the chains off…solved that one in all of a second…was kind of cool 😋

As someone who used to live right next to the park. These sounds are music for my homesick soul. Very soothing and exactly what it sounds like when the wind is blowing through one of the evergreen forested areas.
