Historia
Logan Morrison always fought for everything he had, but it never was much. Growing up truly alone did that to you. One day, when taking on an extra tutoring gig to help out a cute chick with a quirky name, she ends up bringing him back to her place. Cool, right? Well, the next morning, Logan wakes up in chains and comes to learn that Cherry Cola is one beautiful and unhinged monster girl member out of three in a small Fresco City witch coven. Their plans for him? Servitude.

great premise bad direction. awesome 🍋
Revisado: 08-21-24
I really enjoyed the first part of this book but the direction moved away from what I was expecting based on the title.
if you decide to read this you should know it's tags are femdom, coercion, kidnapping, pet play and other kinks. the MC has a serious case of stolkhome syndrome and is under constant compulsion that he has to resist. personally these are all massive turn offs but I understand this isn't the case for everybody so just make an informed decision.
if you can get past the tags the quality is high on all fronts. Great writing, on point narration, and great lewd scenes paced well throughout the story.

High Quality Lemons and Drama
Revisado: 08-18-24
Title says it all this book constantly swaps between heated drama that gets makes you want to see how it will unfold, and the frequent lemons.
The pacing is quick, with a variety of action.
This series is a must read for anyone who enjoys HaremLit, the best that has come in a while.

Ekavir is a hardworking lumberjack's son. It isn't his fault crows speak in eldritch voices when he walks through the forest, or that his blood-red eyes leave the village kids shaking in their shoes. He might be the latest incarnation of a dreaded god known as the Primordial, but he never asked for that. He doesn't even know. When knights arrive hunting for the Ender of Realms, Vir loses his idyllic life along with his chance to be anything else. To grow strong enough to survive, he'll have to become the Primordial.

MCs don't have much agency
Revisado: 07-03-24
There is quite a lot to like here however it's soured by feeling like the MCs are never doing anything of there own volition, everything is black mail and manipulation, the mentors are villains, the villans are just normal royals trying to hold control by any means nessisary.
It all feels so forced, like the author said he wanted a certain end result and worked backwards from there forcing everything into place.
The characters make meaningfull progression throughout the story in both power and experience, and is one of the best parts of the books.
I also appreciated the use of unconventional weapons it was refreshing.
Heath does an excellent job, he better fits into lighter story's imo but he does the work justice.
Overall the book isn't anything amazing but it's definitely above average, and is worth a credit.

Training Arc. Next Book is a Long Time Coming,
Revisado: 06-22-24
While this book does a great job leading up to the big clash with the great god and his messenger, it doesn't really do much more, it leaves me really wanting a next book and sadly it seems that is not something in the works currently. However hopefully they authors current project 1% life steal sees the same audio book treatment.

Historia
Salvatore's worst nightmare is taking on a demon, but if he wants to stay at Quest Academy, how will he prove to himself and everyone else that he can succeed? He's going to have to take on an entire floor of a demonic tower before the first semester comes to a close. That's the least of Sal's problems as he navigates through his first student mission away from the school. Sal is more comfortable at the crafting table, but he needs to survive in a reclaimed zone outside of the academy with the worst team of misfits you could possibly imagine.

MC becomes a pushover, story ends mid plot
Revisado: 06-05-24
I listened to book one again in preparation for this sequel to release and I cant help but say I am disappointed, The first book was amazing, it felt like Sal was coming into his own, dealing with feeling like a sort of outcast due to his OP power, but he had a healthy amount self respect and understood it wasn't really him people had a problem with but with there own inadequacy. It felt like this changed in this book.
The first big change was the mountains of guilt Sal started to feel seemingly out of nowhere, as well as the lack of self respect as he willingly puts him self into bad situations for no apparent reason, It feels like Sal doesn't recognize his own worth and refuses to stick up for himself like he did in the first book, he went from dropping people in the the bathroom since they tried to jump him,to being a complete push over, letting himself be abused for an extended period of time without doing anything to better his situation, a situation he knowingly put him self in for no apparent reason. By the end he no longer chases his own dreams, he just follows the will of others, I'm not convinced he hasn't been mind controlled the entire book.
On top of the main character acting like a different person, almost all of the main cast from the first book is basically absent from this book, it feels like a massive waste.
Finally the story just ends mid arc, several plot points left unresolved and at the height a conflict. There is no satisfaction, just frustration, we don't feel like Sal succeeded, or that he learned something valuable, you just feel like he is being mind controlled.
Overall this went from one of the books I enjoyed most last year to my most recent 1 star. if you like the first book for the characters you will probably be disappointed in this one, however if your main interest was the crafting you will enjoy this book very much since that is a large focus of this book.

Used to be fun
Revisado: 06-03-24
This story has picked up a multitude of issues over its long run time, the cast is far to big, Jason has negative character progression, the story repeats its self, things are constantly rehashed and stats are repeated ad nauseam. But the final nail in the coffin that has killed any joy for me was when I realized a sad truth.
What was once a joke has become very much serious, the whole evil guy with evil powers satire worked since Jason was actually not evil, not a tyrant, and felt like a normal guy in extra ordinary situations. But now its very much not a joke, and so when Jason says his cringe edgy spell activation phrases, I no longer chuckle, I cringe.
The truth is Jason needs to get over himself, he has had plenty of time to get over his problems and is old enough to stop being a mopey child. If Jason hasn't figured his shit out by this point nothing is going to change for him from this point, things are only going to get harder as he gets more power and meets more people, this last arc was his chance to reset his mentality and it was flubbed hard.
And this is all reflected in the narration and editing, Heath worked well for the fun aussie in a fantasy world, but doesn't work at all for the edgy doomer constantly having an identity crises. And maybe I'm just projecting but it feels like you can hear his eye rolls when reading, as if he has lost interest.
If you've never read the books and are reading this for some reason than you should give it a shot, read the first three books and than just pretend Jason died and the story ended, you will be very satisfied if you do. However if you are deciding to continue I would not recommend, take the chance to get out and maybe if the story ever has an actual end maybe come back and binge it.

Worse than the first
Revisado: 06-03-24
MC continues to be a massive pushover, story moves at a snails pace. Half the book is just a recap of events.
We are supposed to believe this is a 45 year old man but he acts like the child he is pretending to be even in the privacy of his own thoughts.
On top of it all the guy has the worst taste in video games, who wants to spend more time to have less progress than other people, the whole point of hell mode stories is the increased difficulty provides more opportunity for the MC to grow. Instead we have a man crippled, always weaker than those around him even if he puts in 10x the effort.
Very unsatisfying do not recommend

MC has no agency and is abused by his AI
Revisado: 05-31-24
The AI has complete control over the MC and he never tried to fight it, very disappointing.
There is no subtly in how the MC I'd forced into the plot.
The narrator has one voice, you can't tell who is speaking.
If you don't mind your MC getting pushed around by a voice in his head, or your female characters sounding like old men, this is an ok book. otherwise don't waste a credit.

MC has almost no agency
Revisado: 05-26-24
By the halfway point the MC has stopped being able to make decisions for him self and is becoming a puppet, feels like a massive missed opportunity, and I think the author knows this since these are problems that were solved in his next novel.

wasn't edited before moving from web
Revisado: 05-03-24
The issues this book had when it was a web novel have not been addressed at all.
The dialog is stilted and it reads like a report on what happened, lots of first x happened than y was upset.
On top of that there are myriad typos that are read out by the Narrator making it even harder to listen too.
I'm honestly not sure how it gets such high ratings, but it shows there is a desire for this type of story.
