Decker and Mila

Loved this, the first of the Invincible series! It grabs me from the beginning, making me stop and wonder if I had the correct genre here. All good, it is indeed, a romance, though with a shitton of mystery, intrigue, twists, turns, and forks in the road. Hit my emotional meter in all directions as well. The bits of humor are subtle but so well placed.
It also carries a wonderful journey of falling in love, the build up of heat with it, and some very poignant moments--simply put, it will submerge you into the convoluted world of Mila's, the very one, she thought, she had escaped from years ago.
Where Decker, and now, new team all being hot, alpha, and intelligent males, ya know? Invincible, need to find a killer or three. And keep Mila alive and well. All this as Decker falls in deeper with her emotionally, knowing this must be love, and hoping she feels the same. There's sweet surprises here also.
The action throughout is nail-biting and quite realistic, taking place by Austin, TX, on and near the King-Alexander Ranch. With both, well-known characters and new, this is still a stand alone.
The HEA was a big ol' bless their hearts sigh for me!
The diversity, the depth, and attentiveness to every detail is why I enjoy Ms Slade's journeys so well.
I didn't care for the male narrator's version of the Texas Twang. Disappointing! Maybe Mr Hart was hopefully, only having a bad day. I give him two stars for bad accents. I think, a more authentic accent is so important because it's a huge part of the charm that goes with all things Texan.
I had never been a big fan of female narrators, but Ms Nemeth-Parker has made a believer outta me. Very good, easy listening and smooth! Kudos to her bc she kept my narration rating at four!!

Cullen and Dr. Carys

Loved listening to this intense journey. I would one minute be holding my breath, and just as quickly giving out a very unladylike snort laugh.
Keeps going this way throughout, and I was "in" it all the way.
The balance of emotions, actions, and intrigue is perfect, and one thing with Ms. O'Leary, you never know what you're gonna get, but can guarantee it will be awesome! The heat was felt, but just simmering, it was fantastic. Carys had been brutalized years earlier, and needed to go at her speed. There just didn't seem a good time for it, and anyway I was too invested in just getting the hell outta Africa with them.
Finally back in the states, Cullen was a freakin' saint, pulled back, treated Carys like a delicate rose. Little did he know the bloom was ready to be picked lol. A new code word would be needed and "nap" sounded good. The HEA is awww so sweet!
Feels here, people!
Just listen to the audio or read the book, you'll feel the whole realm of emotions, well-placed wit and humor being my favorites, the action and suspense well planned and intense, all fleshed together wonderfully, making Ms. O'Leary one of my most favored authors.
The narrators were not my favorites here, but did a fairly good job.

Excellent Journey

Brought to life in audio, this is the journey of Thornton and Orina, aka Shiver and Losha, with never a dull moment. Includes a lot of characters we are already familiar with, but is a stand alone. Book or Audio, either is a five star from me. Loved it all, a lot of drama, suspense and action.

This brought to life, the journey I read. Loved the story, the voices, just everything. Knowing what's coming is even better, more anticipation for me. Rebel is a spitfire and Edge sounded delishly kind of dominant!

So good to listen to. Great story, excellent narration, all was fantastic. I found myself lol'ing often throughout as this journey progressed, even though the premise had a depth that tugged at my heart. It all ends beautifully!

A James Bond Type Romance

I loved this. I read the book first, loved the journey, and it's so cool to then listen, building even more anticipation bc I knew what was coming. Listening to it was awesome.
Emme or Emerson was vividly brought to life in the audio, so true to the character in my mind. I did question Lennox's hearing lol when he was remembering their night together, and the soft lilting? voice.
Lynx or Lennox was great, a bit slower in speaking so had to speed it up during his chapters--no worries. He even sounded like a stuffy ol Brit, which may not be the case nowadays, but I do wonder if the narrator always sounds a tiny bit nasally. Great inflection and pauses kept me in the story.
A lot of mystery and suspense, tho Lynx's cover was over before it even started lol, bc he KNEW Emerson (literally) under the covers, a play on words, maybe? Anyone who loves James Bond will love this, with the Military Intelligence of Her Majesty (MI6), the CIA and the Invincibles.

Excellent to listen to!

Haha! Loved this right outta the gate. Laughing at the dialogue as I get to hear someone other than my mind talking. Intense situations and Hot chemistry between two very strong mains, plus the plot to kill innocents that needs to be stopped makes for some serious listening. The random "A" names that Kane keeps coming up with is just snort laugh worthy!
I prefer the male narrator, tho I have to say the female narrator nailed A.J.' sexuality.

Tuned Out The World Listening to This One

Loved this journey with all the feels, action, edge of your seat tenseness, and the hotness level was oh my my!
The narrator was excellent. Kept it smooth and flowing.

2nd Chance Military Action Romance

Loved the storyline and the characters. Levi and Blake are all grownup, still have that smokin' chemistry, and find out they're a lot tougher now, than they were in high school.
Each working for the government ridding the world of scum. Blake tho, has a specific goal on her agenda, a great twist in the story.
The many emotions came thru on the narration so well and I liked that there were two (M/F) narrators. One exception, the large gap between what was said and the words "he said" or "she said", seemed stilted and prob done in the editing.
Still an awesome audio "read" that I got thoroughly engrossed in.
