box set lots of book to hear without as much money spent. book was boring! if I had pd more for the books I would have returned them. as is I just let it go for back ground noise.

Lots of story for your bucks! I have been listing to this for 10+ hrs... still waiting for something to happen! I'm going to return it. The books are not good/

Nothing Happened...

I really have enjoyed most of Taylor's other books, and with Porter reading it, nothing to be better.... But nothing happened, no adventure, okay a few small adventures. But for 90% of the book the were setting up a governing body. I kept going and finished the book, but not because I enjoyed it, just hoping for something fun to happen.

Really glad I got this one on sale so did not pay full price for it. I have no problem paying full price for a good story. It may have been good in Comic format but not so much as an audio book. The B list heroes needed the art of a hard copy....

It's just too elementary

I have no problem listening to Young Adult books. Some of them I really like, even if I am 60 yrs old! But this one had to ne for the 13 and under crowd. And you really had to be in to Roll Playing Games Seems like most of what the pppl did was talk about each others stats. After about an hr I just gave up and returned this book.

Not like the Show!

Kind of hard to do a review without giving it away. If you are a fan of Orville - Star Trek - it's not too hard guess what is going on. But would have much rather has a story about the cast and crew of the Orville

I really like Taylor and Porter!

But this was not one of Taylor's best. I will get the second book, it might be better. And any time I see Ray Porter as the narrator I'll at least give it a try.

Nope! and I am a fan of Koonz's work

Most of the time I really like D.R. Koontz. but I could not even finish this book it was so bad. The story went nowhere the guy reading it was 'ok' only. I really tried to finish the book, tried to like it. But the story just made no sense to and my attention kept wandering. Skip this book, even if you are a Koontz fan too

But this is not the entire book. Can not tell you the number of time I have read this in paperback. And a lot of the book was left out. Skip these abridged books and read the paperbacks...

Not one of his best

Yea, this book is not one of Koontz's best. Maybe it was a set up for another book? I sure hope so, otherwise it was a waste of time, because the book on it's own did nothing. Don't get it just because it is Koontz, or because you love dogs, like I did. You can pass this one by. You will miss nothing.
