Disappointing
Revisado: 07-02-23
I have read 3 other books by Emily Henry and enjoyed them so much more than this one.
The past summer chapters were decent but the this summer seemed awkward and torturous.

Too much
Revisado: 03-16-22
This is my least favorite from this series. Overall it was okay but there was just too many storylines happening. There were too many characters to try to keep track of. The ending felt like the writer gave up and spelled out everything in 5 minutes.

Loved and hated it
Revisado: 12-10-20
There were times in this book I didn’t want to put it down. And other times I never wanted to pick it up again. The author was too detailed for me at times. I got very tired of Dolly’s fantasy’s and games. I also very much hated her employer.
Other times in the book I was intrigued and loved the present day and the mystery of the past.
I have not read anything else by this author so I do t know if it’s the authors style or the story I have s love hate relationship with.

Her other books were way better
Revisado: 08-13-20
I read her series the witches daughter. That I recommended.
This book first It’s completely unnecessary for an author to kill animals just to show there is a villain. I should have stopped there but didn’t and the rest of the book I found boring.

Not as good as her other books
Revisado: 06-02-20
I really like her wishcraft series so I thought I’d like these too. However I really didn’t like the characters or the story line. This is the first time in a long time that I actually skipped over half the book. I listened to the last few chapters and was happy I did.

I found this book extremely interesting and entertaining. I must say I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much much if I read it as opposed to listening to it. I loved how it ended and I love the characters. This book was really lovely to listen to.
