Historia
In the fall of 1865, the United States Army executed Confederate guerrilla Champ Ferguson for his role in murdering fifty-three loyal citizens of Kentucky and Tennessee during the Civil War. Long remembered as the most unforgiving and inglorious warrior of the Confederacy, Ferguson has often been dismissed by historians as a cold-blooded killer. Here, biographer Brian D. McKnight demonstrates how such a simple judgment ignores the complexity of this legendary character.

Great book overall
Revisado: 07-01-21
A great book and read. The only downfall is the person who’s reading to you. It’s almost like he didn’t prepare for the book at times. But once you get pass that it’s a good book.

Historia
Even without the right to vote, members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy proved to have enormous social and political influence throughout the South - all in the name of preserving Confederate culture. Karen L. Cox's history of the UDC, an organization founded in 1894 to vindicate the Confederate generation and honor the Lost Cause, shows why myths surrounding the Confederacy continue to endure.

Great history on the UDC
Revisado: 04-22-21
I have many confederate books for historical purposes and I decided to give this one a listen. It’s not a bad book at all. Tells a lot about the UDC and has some nice back history I didn’t know about. Overall a great book to me.

Historia
With its emphasis on traditional values, family, faith, military service, good manners, small government, and independent-minded people, the South should certainly rise again. Far from being the backwater of prejudice and ignorance that the liberal media would have you believe, the South has always been the center of American culture.

untold history
Revisado: 03-11-20
This book had some great information especially the black confederates. It’s not about race as many today deem it to be. It’s part of this country history! You need to go into this book as a “dry sponge” and take in history you may not know. A very great listen.
