Historia
On May 31, 2014, in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, Wisconsin, two 12-year-old girls attempted to stab their classmate to death. Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier’s violence was extreme, but what seemed even more frightening was that they committed their crime under the influence of a figure born by the internet: the so-called “Slenderman”. Yet the even more urgent aspect of the story, that the children involved suffered from undiagnosed mental illnesses, often went overlooked in coverage of the case.

Mental Health
Revisado: 01-27-25
There were times when the narrator almost had me feeling sorry for Morgan but then would remind you that she’s a murderer, but also has a mental disability. Fast forward to 2025 and Morgan is now out of the hospital. Let’s hope she received and continues to receive the help she needs.
Also, knowing that mental health is hard to understand, if they were willing to diagnose children, perhaps lives could be saved.

Very good listen.

My mother is in late stage 2 Alzheimer’s. My stepfather wants to keep her home as long as he can. I live out of state , so unfortunately, I am not much help and there is an extreme possibility I will also get this. I chose to listen to this book in hopes of gaining some insight on what this is like for her and what I will go through. I think anyone dealing with a loved one with Alzheimer’s should read this book. I found it very down to earth and very eye opening.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Edge of your seat suspense.
Revisado: 12-14-23
Great storyline. Kept me interested for 130 chapters. Wondering what would happen to BB in the next chapter.
My only complaint is that they should have saved the “punchline” for the last chapter. The story kind of lagged on after they revealed the truth.
