I always enjoy reading Cixin books! I made an error is watching the TV series before reading this book, which was a huge mistake on my part. This book is so great and storyline is very engaging. I recommend reading the Three-Body even if you watch the series.

Historia
Our ancestors crossed deserts, mountains, and oceans without even a whisper of what anyone today might consider modern technology. Those feats of endurance now seem impossible in an age where we take comfort for granted. But what if we could regain some of our lost evolutionary strength by simulating the environmental conditions of our forbears? Investigative journalist and anthropologist Scott Carney takes up the challenge to find out: Can we hack our bodies and use the environment to stimulate our inner biology?

Hear about this book while listening to Mysterious Universe Podcast, and was intrigued about the Iceman. I reached work and immediately fired up my computer and went to MU Podcast to see the name of the book. Found book and purchased the Kindle version and then added the audible option. Fantastic book to listen, great anecdotes and very inspirational for. I am suffering from a torn miniscus and in a few months I am planning to hike Machu Picchu. I said this sounds great, it brought fond memories of living in Canada, running outdoors weather if -6°C, taking a warm shower, then a cold one. Awesome! It has inspired me to start doing the Hof exercises, cold shower (not very cold in Florida) but doing it! Love the book and will start the breadthIng and cold shower exercises using my Wim Hof Method iPhone app.
