One of the absolute best fantasy novels written

I read the wheel of time nearly twenty year ago and really loved all the voices in the audible version. It's so original, so different, so complex, so interesting! I would encourage the reader to get the companion and look at the maps. Also, listen to the brief interview with Robert Jordan at the end. He listens to the audiobook too!

Historia
p53: The Gene That Cracked the Cancer Code reveals the tale of the search for this gene, as well as the excitement of the hunt for new cures - the hype, the lost opportunities, the blind alleys, and the thrilling breakthroughs. As the long-anticipated revolution in cancer treatment tailored to each individual patient's symptoms starts to take off at last, p53 is still at the forefront of the game. This is a timely tale of scientific discovery and advances in our understanding of a disease that still affects more than one in three of us at some point in our lives.

Interesting and informative

Really good introduction to the history and function of p53. A bit dry in parts... not as riveting as the genome war, but still really great if cancer genetics is an interest of yours.

Historia
Magic, adventure, mystery, and romance combine in this epic debut in which a young princess must reclaim her dead mother’s throne, learn to be a ruler - and defeat the Red Queen, a powerful and malevolent sorceress determined to destroy her. On her 19th birthday, Princess Kelsea Raleigh Glynn, raised in exile, sets out on a perilous journey back to the castle of her birth to ascend her rightful throne. Plain and serious, a girl who loves books and learning, Kelsea bears little resemblance to her mother, the vain and frivolous Queen Elyssa.

really engaging, but not as clean as I would like.
Revisado: 02-01-18
Riveting fantasy where the heroine rises to become a legend and world is rather imaginative. cons: too much focus on immorality, other characters outside of the heroine feel rather flat and never really do a great deal to further the plot.
