The female narrator whispers, which is weird, but I've heard worse. Jason Clarke, love him!!! The storyline, not groundbreaking but enjoyable, minus the heroine. I should really stop being so surprised that every other female lead in the books I choose are idiots. Claire goes on and on about how big of a manipulative you know what Margeaux is, but every single time Margeaux lives up to her character traits, Claire takes offense and runs away crying. I didn't want them to end up together because that chick was too immature to ask questions and get answers. I'm offended so many authors portray their females like this. If we aren't jumping to conclusions we're keeping some stupid secret. Do better.

Book 1 was weird, but I didn't hate it. Book 2 has given me a pretty good idea of the writer's style and it's not my cup of tea. Some things where repetitive as if we'd forget. She was "kidnapped", she's a good liar, she wants friends, she likes self-help books. Nobody talks to him, we never see him, we don't know what he does, we're all afraid of him, no we don't know why we're afraid of him. Over and over again. I want to find out what this whole family business jive is about, but it's not worth it. In my head, the brothers all find love and take down the big bad whatever that's been torturing them their whole lives.

Couldn't Finish

I attempted to complete this book 4 times but I just can't. The storyline moves too slow and it gets boring. Though the main character is only in her twenties, I expected a little more maturity.

I thought this might be the book that could change my mind on hidden baby storylines. Sadly, it is not. It's another dumb heroine with a trash excuse for her actions. Her personality can't even make up for her indiscretion; I dislike everything about her. I'm holding out faith that one day I'll come across an author that can create this plot with a heroine I don't want to punch in the face. Sidenote, I enjoyed hearing the child's narrative. Extra sidenote, it was painful to hear that child's nickname over and over. Who thought Brooky was a good idea!?

I like Elle Kennedy, but I can't make it through chapter 3. I'm unsure if it's the female character that I dislike or the voice of her. The male narrorator is fine, but his story thus far is over-the-top annoying. I can usually ignore one character in a book, but I can't continue when I hate everybody and the storyline isn't worth it.

Gaaah This Narrator

This book is probably good, I've enjoyed other stories by the author. However, this narrator ruins it for me. I've had to struggle through other books she's worked on, but this one is mentally exhausting to get through. I can't focus on the words because I'm so irritated by the voice. No offense at all towards her! I'm sure she's really good at certain subjects but her portrayal in romances make me wish her characters would get killed off.

Synopsis is so misleading

It seemed like a story about a therapist falling for a patient who was already taken. Instead it was a tale about a privileged chick snorting and banging anything that came her way. The sex scenes only bothered me because they sounded unsanitary. I pictured a Tara Reid circa early 2000s on her knees in a nightclub bathroom snorting who knows what off the genital of some man. That's what I'm supposed to believe a handsome rich foreign guy wants to take back home and be with? If she's not re-buttoning her blouse she's definitely not washing her hands. Then knowing she's the type of woman that feels liberated when she allows randoms to do whatever to her, not to mention she's probably now wearing hospital appointed oversized sweats and shoes without strings, this attractive doctor is ready to risk it all to be with her. Why? Sir, are you sure she brushed her teeth? Does she have a condom allergy? As long as this book is, there definitely should've been an explanation on why she's a sloppy hot mess and why these men are so into it. I probably could've enjoyed it more if I heard more from the men and less from her....and if I could believe she was occasionally washing her hands in between the drugs and sex.
