Absolutely Love this Series!

I love these stories and the build up of the relationship of Cora and Selene. The series starts out with a bit of a cantankerous relationship with Selene and Cora, but by the end of the this book, not only do Cora and Selene bond over their love for Lavender, but they begin to bond between themselves. I also like that Cora's walls are opening up to let Clint in her life and meet her family. I cannot wait for the next book!

ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE LISTEN!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I always looked forward to the moments when I would be able to listen to the book. I enjoyed the family dynamics, the character buildups and the interactions. The ending was a bit of a surprise and I can't wait to listen to Book 2. The only reason the performance was rated a little low was the narrator's pronunciation of several names. She had trouble between Heath and Pete and I was confused several times as to who was doing and saying what. Overall, great listen and I highly recommend.

A Bit Disappointing

The first five minutes of the book are great and then HUH? After a bit you pick up the stride only to feel that you missed out on a third of the book. I am a bit disappointed in Ilona Andrews and rushing through the story. Still haven't figured out on why their love for each other is so strong - because the first part is missing! The parts of the book actually written were great. As always and I will be buying the next book when and if it comes along. I do want a full story this time.

I WILL DEFINITELY PRE-ORDER THE BURNING SHADOW!! THE ONLY REASON IT DID NOT GET FIVE STARS FOR PERFORMANCE IS THAT SASKIA WAS A LITTLE OFF ON SOME OF HER VOICES. OTHER THAN THAT - IT WAS GREAT!!!

I must admit it took a few chapters to really get into this book, but I am very glad I did! Remember this Serena is very sheltered and needs time to grow. She has a different personality than most heroines. I will be first in line to pre-order the second book!!!

I have been on the fence post about purchasing this book for a long time. Finally, it was a deal of the day and I took it! It was sooo worth the money! From the start it grabbed you and it didn't stop. It merged in characters and stories beautifully! There were the dark moments, there were happy moments. There are very few books that I think about when I am at work, but this was one of them. I hope there is a sequel and that it measures up to this wonderful book

When I started the series I was initially lost until I realized the premise of the book! What an extraordinary way to write a book and what a story within this book! It was amazing from beginning to the end. I pre-ordered both Gemina and Obsidio. I recommend this book series to anyone on this planet and beyond!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Even after reading the reviews for this book, I will still dubious about downloading and listening. The characters of the book grabbed you from the beginning and didn't stop until the end. So many fantasy books cannot totally transition you into their world. Not this author and certainly not Simon Vance who was able to capture the nuances of all of the characters. I truly hope there is a sequel coming - I will be first in line! I highly recommend this book to anyone.
