For most families, bringing a new life into the world should be a time of great celebration. But giving birth to a girl was not a joyful occasion in my home. My condition was fragile because I had come more than a month early. Mama never said, but I suspected her injuries and premature labor were the result of Daddy’s fists.

The Sinner in Mississippi is a fantastic well written story. It gives you all the feels and them some. I can't say enough great things about this book with out giving the story away.
Mississippi is a strong willed girl. Raised with boys and no momma she is rough around the edges but learns how to love and be loved.
And the narrator was great!!! The different voices, the ability to bring the story to life and adding just enough spunk to Mississippi's personality.

Glad I downloaded this book from audible escape. I love MC stories and this one did not disappoint! Such tragedy that ends with two souls coming together for love and healing each other along the way.
Well I'm off to listen to the second book.

Love second chance stories!

I feel in love with this story, right from the start. Clem has such a fancy vocabulary, it keeps you wondering what she's going to come up with next! I love the plot, the characters - good and bad, and how family is family-no matter what.
I have to say something about the narrator, she rocked this story!!! This was my first listen by her and I really enjoyed her different voices.
I'm excited to listen to Bear's story, as I'm sure it will be just as good as Clem's.
Be sure to listen, this story is def worth a credit!!

I'm hooked on the Calhoun's!!!!

I love how each Calhoun is unique and Bear is no exception!! This story was great. It had all the feels. And the narrator, John-Michael Jalonen, knocked the characters out of the ball park.
I can't wait for Ellie's book.....

I read this book and listened to it, it's that good!!! I love Kelly's writing. It's well written, full of laughter, a few tears and a great ending, no cliff hanger!!! What more could you ask for in a book?

That is until she moves into the abandoned house next door. I don't know what her intentions are, but she insists on being friends. So, being the good neighbor I am, I am more than happy to roll out the unwelcome mat for her. She needs to disappear and fast. All I want to do is continue my solitude and send the tiny woman on her way back to wherever she came from.

I love Nicole Gsarcia's writting!!

What a fun listen! I really enjoyed this book, but I knew I would because I love the way Nicole writes. I laughed out loud a few times in this story and also felt heart ache. Garrison and Minnie's relationship had deep roots, it was just a matter of time before they acknowledged them. Hope Garrisons friend gets a book!!!

Jeanne St. James is a new author for me. And I'm so glad I found her. Made Maleen was a great story, I really enjoyed it. The narration? Not so much. When the female does the female voice it's good, but when she does the male voice, it sounds like an old wizard. The voice didn't sound like a hot cowboy, I found it rather annoying. But I will listen to other books by this author!
