Historia
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

A slightly different vibe
Revisado: 11-22-19
The story is well thought out and the characters well developed. It was a little more of a touchy feely vibe that others of this genre but not bad and occasionally the description of the effects of certain rounds departs from reality. It is also amusing that apparently the author is from the Los Angeles area as he has all characters regardless of location or origin refer to all highways and freeways with the leading "the" that is common in LA but nowhere else.

Historia
Creatures that once lived in the shadows, hidden from humankind, have risen, spreading like a plague across the globe over the course of a single night. Their numbers growing exponentially through infection, these seemingly unkillable creatures have swallowed up whole cities and collapsed unprepared governments. Survivors call it The Purge.

A good storyline
Revisado: 05-18-17
What did you like best about The Purge of Babylon Series Box Set: Books 1-3? What did you like least?
This is an interesting story with good character development but is also annoyingly discordant. It is fairly obvious that the author has no first hand experience with firearms and quite often has operation, effect, range, and accuracy wildly wrong. At times it almost reads as inaccurate anti-gun propaganda.

What happend?
Revisado: 05-03-16
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lauren Ezzo?
I would have cast almost anyone else!
Any additional comments?
I have a very hard time reconciling the fact that this was written by the same author that wrote the Empire Corps series. The story is riddled with mind jarring errors and less than mature story and character development. I could believe this being an early work before the author had hit his stride but the publication date belies that idea. There is little that I can add to earlier comments about the poor choice in narrator. Her voices and choices of tone and word emphasis completely changed the tone and focus of the scenes.I am disappointed. Perhaps the Empire Corps series spoiled me...
