Best Michael Connelly story!
Revisado: 11-14-20
There aren't many Michael Connelly stories I don't like and I've listened to every single one of them! All the details and happenings draw you in to really know and love the main character. The Law of Innocence is my favorite. I usually listen only while I work, but I had to listen in the car even as I drove to the store.
It made it feel way too real with today's Covid-19 epidemic being portrayed in the story. The only thing I didn't like in this portrayal was the political opinions inserted. It rubbed me wrong yet it made sense since most attorneys are liberal leaning.
Overall it was a seat gripping story and the character development and conclusions were wonderful.

Excellent storyline, character development and mystery
Revisado: 10-15-20
LOVE this book. I love all Michael Connelly books and have listened to all, but this one is one of the best!
I would love to see Jack and Rachel work together. Solving mysteries together and a love story and their working dynamic will hopefully bring many more books!

One of my favorite books of all time!
Revisado: 03-11-20
You won’t regret this purchase!
This is no doubt one of the best books I’ve ever read/listened to! I love January LaVoy and she plays the parts wonderfully.
The story is captivating and you don’t want to put it down. The writing is genius and the plot how it evolves and twists is fascinating, mysterious, yet makes sense as you near the end.
It’s purely ingenious and Brian Freeman deserves a beat seller for this book!

Historia
It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

Best story line in a long time
Revisado: 08-01-19
I have literally listened to almost every crime/detective book of Baldacci and similar writers and rarely write full reviews. I was skeptical about a crime solving story with no technology. It sounded boring. It was anything but boring and it had my full attention through the whole book. I highly recommend it.
The story line is unique and creative and the character development is outstanding.
I love his style of writing and I have been very pleased with all of his books and series.

Ballard kicks him out but then checks into the case herself, and it brings a deep tug of empathy and anger. Bosch is investigating the death of 15-year-old Daisy Clayton, a runaway on the streets of Hollywood who was brutally murdered and her body left in a dumpster like so much trash. Now, Ballard joins forces with Bosch.

Worth the wait!
Revisado: 11-01-18
A year is way too long to wait for the next Connelly book! This is the best book I’ve listened to in a long time. I don't frequently write reviews but this book is worth the read and the review. It is entertaining from the very beginning and I could barely stop listening. There is not a dull moment in the story.
I love the humanization Connelly brings out of Bosch, a tough guy with a huge heart. I wish there was more interaction with Maddie and updates on her school and life. Who is she dating? What is she studying in school? I'm surprised she frowned on his help he offered.
I love the Ballard introduction. Ballard and Bosch work wonderfully together. I couldn't tell if there was a romance blooming or work relationship. I'm glad the end tied that up.
I cannot for the next book and for it to come out on the Bosch Amazon Prime series! #teamwork #rules #detective #relationships #tagsgiving and #sweepstakes

Revisado: 11-13-17
It’s great to have Jack Reacher back! Lee Child’s story lines are never similar and always unique. You can only expect that Reacher will always kick someone’s trash.
It’s a good story of love for our veterans and a reality for too many of their life after war. Perfect end to Veteran’s Day weekend.

It was a great original story and kept me on the edge of my seat. It had Baladacci's name which is why I wanted to listen in the first place.
