Unbelievable Heroism by AF Parajumpers

.An avid reader most of my life and as a retired sportswriter, writing has been a passion of mine...Now just turning 70, my eyes are that great but I love audiobooks. In the last 7-1/2 years, I’ve read nearly 300 books.

I love books about Special Operations Forces. In all my time listening to great books, I adamantly state that “Never Quit.” an incredibly in depth look at the life of a domestic and military AF Parajumper rates as the greatest story of an incredible band of heroes that has somewhat flown under the radar in relation to Special Operators.

In most humble of opinions, “Never Quit,” the full life story of Alaskan Air Force Parajumper Jimmy Settle is the best audiobook I have ever listened to...To say too much about the book would be a complete unstatement.

To Jimmy Settles and his life long compadres, you folks are the absolute “heroes of heroes” and it was my most esteemed honor to listen to your story...words can’t describe how proud I am to know men and women like you and the job y’all do Jimmy!
My 41-year-old son will be receiving your story in hardback as a cherished Christmas gift.

A must read

Although I wasn't a giant John Stockton fan during his playing days because he and "the Mailman" defeated my Rockets so many crucial times. But I ALWAYS respected and appreciated John's talents. After reading this incredible book, I've become a tremendous fan. He is so humble and is such a great family man! It now makes me proud to have watched his entire career and the type of man he is comes though throughout the book. Congratulations John, your book is one of the best I've ever listened to.

The Best

Followed Robert's story through the Fox News Special a year ago and it was incredible..this inspiring book was even better -- The Best I've ever listened to. Robert and his brave warriors are heroes in every sense of the word. Y'all make me proud to be an American.

One of the best I've listened too....A Texan since birth, had the honor of seeing Sandy and Drysdale pitch back to back games in 1962 when I was visiting my grandma in LA. When I was 14. I have always viewed Sandy as the best ever and always will...Book and Steiner were GREAT!!!

Although always an Astros fan, I followed Rick's incredible journey through the highs, the lows, and back to the highs...thank you for telling a complete story which few would have ever known...a sensational piece that should inspire those that feel nothing can ever become better...one of my all-time favorite audiobooks

I've listened to over 200 books over the last 4 or 5 years, but this audiobook may be the most enjoyable I've ever heard. I've watched and listened to Joe for many years and have enjoyed his worth. But now I see him in an entirely different light. It's almost like he a friend I could go to lunch with. He seemed so much more down to earth than I had previously thought. His story. Is fantastic, but his narration was off the chart. His voice made this book like a guy just telling you stories. He's the very best narration of an audiobook I have EVER heard. Great joy Joe, I'll give the book a 10..ready for a second installment!!!

An incredible story of battling upsets and downs

I've listened to well over 100 + books and this may be might be my favorite of them all. Understanding how much wealth he has accumulated, I was blown away with the enormous amount of adversity Phil had to overcome.
Book is FANTASTIC!
