Andy Serkis is a wonder!
Revisado: 06-29-22
Serkis could well be the best book narrator ever! Each voice was distinct and perfect. Really well done.

Historia
Claire Hansen was a Keeper, a member of that select group that kept the universe in one piece. And now she'd been Summoned to the Elysian Fields Guesthouse, a rundown bed-and-breakfast that seemed to attract the most unusual clientele. And Claire was not happy about this latest assignment, not happy at all. Not when she'd been tricked into taking over here by a horrible little gnome of a man who'd abandoned his post before she'd even figured out who he really was. Not when room six held a resident who'd been sleeping there for so many years that she really needed a good dusting - except that it was far too dangerous for anyone to get that close to her.

Terrible reader
Revisado: 12-10-19
The book isn't one of Huff's best but it's fun. However, the narrator ruined it for me. Her French accent for the ghost was pretty horrible and all the characters sounded exactly alike. I got halfway through and returned it.

Multiple narrators a bit off-putting
Revisado: 08-07-18
While in theory having a different voice for each POV character seems like a good idea, it was rather jarring when (for example) Joshua was reading Seth's part or Decker voicing Elise. Still, it's a terrifically entertaining story and a rather unique take on werewolves, vampires, angels and witches that is worth a listen.

Historia
On a hot midsummer night in Discworld, everything seems perfect - crop circles are turning up everywhere, the witch Magrat Garlick is getting married the next morning, and everyone's buzzing with excitement. Unfortunately, the Lancre All-Comers Morris Team has gotten drunk on a fairy mound, and the elves have returned with the traditional traits of the magical realm of Fairie: evil, malice, murder, cruelty, and kidnapping. Suddenly, Granny Weatherwax and her tiny coven of belligerent witches are faced with their biggest challenge as they try to pull off Magrat's wedding.

Planer does it again
Revisado: 11-13-17
LORDS AND LADIES has long been one of my fave Discworld books, and I really enjoy Nigel Planer's reading (he is especially great with the wizards, but the witches are wonderfully rendered as well). Stephen Briggs is still my favorite Pratchett narrator (nobody does Feegles better!) but Planer is also wonderful with this world, and has done several other Pratchett novels (HOGFATHER for example) so I have many many enjoyable hours ahead. “AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY”

Two great performances for a great series entry
Revisado: 11-13-17
The latest in the Mercy Thompson series is an exciting and wonderful adventure. Lorelei King has been doing a wonderful job with Mercy's stories for years, and the addition of George Newbern for the chapters from Adam's POV is delicious icing on this cake. Mercy has been kidnapped to Europe, and Adam must get a rescue party together to go after her, making splitting the story between two narrators a natural. Highly recommended for fans of the series.
